It's been a little while since I headed into my local Tom Ford counter but they recently got in touch inviting me along to an afternoon with Tom Ford as they had some new beauty launches for summer which being the magpie I am who loves sparkly eyeshadows, I had to head along and check out what the new launches are and maybe even come away with some goodies because they were just too pretty not too.
The lovely girls at Tom Ford in Flannels Liverpool hosted their latest event on the beauty bar in the middle of the ground floor. They welcomed us in with some drinks whilst we waited for everyone to arrive then it was time to start by being welcomed into the world that is Tom Ford fragrance. We all discussed what scents we liked the most in fragrances whilst we were matched to a Tom Ford fragrance, they also showed us layering of several fragrances to get a custom one. I really liked how the Rose Prick and Ombre Leather were layered together, it would be perfect for wearing the Rose Prick in the day then layering the Ombre Leather on top to deepen the scent and make it more sexy for the evening.
Once everyone had the chance to find out our favourite fragrance for autumn/winter, it was time to talk through all the new beauty launches as they did a full face of Tom Ford. I haven't really tried any skincare yet from Tom Ford so I was really intrigued by Tom Ford Research range including the creme concentrate which is designed as a ultra-rich and hydrating cream to help nourish your skin and prime your face ready for makeup. As I mentioned before, I'm a complete magpie when it comes to sparkly eyeshadows so when they pulled out the Metallic Mauve eyeshadow palette, I think I audibly gasped cause it was so pretty and perfect for autumn/winter.
I did a very basic makeup look before heading to this event cause I was having a bad pain day so I was so excited to try out the Metallic Mauve palette after the masterclass and I was blown away with the look they did. I like that you can go as heavy and smokey as you want or go as light as you want which makes it perfect for me cause I can either do a quick wash of colour during the day and then smoke it out for the evening. I really liked how much the purples in this palette brought out the green in my eyes and I ended up getting so many compliments on the shadow but also for how green my eyes were.
I've added the Metallic Mauve palette to my must buy list and I've got a couple of other items on my Christmas list. I did come away with one of their matte lipsticks in 100 which is a gorgeous rosy brown making it the perfect everyday lipstick for me and I'm going to top it with lip oils or lipgloss when my lips feel a bit dry. I had such a wonderful time at the event, I loved the new launches and everyone at the Tom Ford counter are so friendly and honestly go the extra mile for their customers. You can even get some mini services at the counter whether you need to find a new foundation, new autumn lipstick or want to change up your eye makeup look, they really can help you with it all.
