In celebration of Valentine's day, the lovely Molly from the Hourglass Cosmetics counter and Josh from GHD in Flannels Liverpool hosted a great masterclass to give you some inspiration for your Valentine's/Galentine's day hair and makeup. I got the pleasure to head along, pick up some tips and try a couple of products out for myself, also got some real hair envy!
If you haven't met Molly or Josh yet from Flannels Liverpool, they are among some of the nicest members of staff in Flannels and are going to make honest product recommendations and not just to fill a sales quota which is something that keeps me returning back to them again and again as a paying customer.
This is the first time I've seen the beauty and GHD counters pair up for a combined masterclass and honestly I really love the idea. Especially because GHD is such an iconic brand that lots of people have but might not know all the tips and tricks on how to use them and get the best results. Molly kindly talked everyone through the beautiful pink look that she did for Valentine's including using the gorgeous Scattered Light glitter eyeshadow then teaming it up with a beautiful red lip. Molly loves using the Veil Hydrating skin tint then increasing the coverage by applying the Vanish foundation stick which gave her model a beautiful glowy base with coverage where is needed.
Now I am already a big fan of the No28 Lip Treatment oils and I've quickly fallen in love with the Phantom glossy balms and the Unlocked Satin Creme lipsticks. I've never been brave enough to go for a bright red lip but I really like the glossy red she did with Thrive Phantom glossy balm and might have to find a red that suits my skin tone. The lovely Josh from GHD talked us the way to prep your hair to get the best result from your styling tool. He then also went through how to get the iconic Hollywood wave that is glamorous and looks perfect for Valentine's day.
