It's been a little while since I've been posting on my blog and social media and what started out as an unintentional break ended up becoming an intentional break. I spent a lot of time in November over-doing it with work, blogging, blogging events and social media that I ended up pushing myself into a flare up which unfortunately hasn't settled.
Due to my physical and mental health having a flare up throughout December and being on a final notice with my job despite my time off sick from work in the last 12 months being down to my chronic health conditions so during December I really put everything into being able to stay in work at the sacrifice of things in my personal life including my social media content and blogging. Most of my December was spent working, sleeping or trying to distract my anxious brain with learning to crochet as a way to distract myself when I was awake.
I am now going into my 6th week of this flare up and it's not showing any signs of letting up even though I had a very chilled week off work over Christmas and tried to keep things to a minimum during the last 5 weeks so I'm getting annoyed with my body and had a bit of an F U moment and decided to slowly get back up to date with content that I wanted to post in December on my blog and social media because from this week, I'm on a temporary secondment for 6 months starting today which is going to be a slightly lighter work load so I felt like this is the perfect time to slowly get myself back into it.
I have felt a bit medically and generally burnt-out by my body and various medical appointments that I've ended up withdrawing back and isolating myself as a protective measure which I know that various people including my therapist will tell me is not a very healthy coping mechanism. I am hoping over the course of January to slowly get back up to my usual posting of 3 times a week on my blog then posting regularly on Instagram and Tiktok so please bear with me as we get back to regularly scheduled content.
Did you do anything interesting during the festive period?
