I'm slowly trying to find a little arsenal of local food places to try out and review. Recently I found the wonderful Milk & Honey Claughton and I've already been multiple times cause the food and venue is just so good and it's quickly become one on my go-to places for brunch.

Milk & Honey is a wonderful little local spot in Claughton that is run by a husband and wife duo, Paul and Lindsey and owned by the same people as Fire & Stoves in Chester. It is a small little spot that is dog friendly as well as having vegan and gluten-free options on their menu. I've been a handful of times now to Milk & Honey with family and I've been slowly trying out their brunch and lunch menu and we've all loved everything we've tried so far.
As well as their usual menu, they have speciality dishes and drinks that they change up. I've been loving their honeycomb lattes and they've also been tempting me as right next to their till is their pastry & sweet treats display which again have changed up every time that we've visited so you're bound to get tempted with something delicious as you're paying.
Their brunch menu has so much to choose from but when I first visited, I had to try out their pancakes with nutella and fruit. Now these are so delicious but they are also a big portion and we struggled to get through it. I definitely need to have them again on my next visit but I think that I'll get the kids version for a smaller portion cause I'm trying to be more conscious about what I'm eating so I'll allow myself treats like brunch but be conscious about the sizing of the portions so I can still have a treat without over doing it. As well as their brunch menu, they offer a small menu of sandwiches and sides which again I can confirm are just as good as their brunch menu. We've tried the cheese toasties and sausage sarnies when we stopped in for a quick lunch and they were really impressed with these.
Now it does get busy during peak hours but the staff are always super nice and make sure to look after you. They're currently open 7 days a week, Mon-Fri 9am-4pm & Sat-Sun 9am-3pm with indoor and outdoor seating. It's a local favourite so be prepared during busy times that you may have to wait for a table but I can tell you that is definitely worth the wait.
