It's been a great Spring so far with some incredible new places opening in Liverpool and most recently the amazing Black Cat Club launched at the end of last week and I headed along to check it out for their soft launch. I of course had to head along with some of my closest friends & sister to check it out and we had such a fun night together.
Black Cat Club is part of the company that brings you El Gato Negro Tapas and Canto. It's now open in Exchange Flags and focuses on competitive socialising coupled with a great bar menu and a menu of delicious food for you all to try out whilst you're getting competitive. As well as the interactive dart games, they also have shuffleboard and the recent games on tv's throughout the venue. They're also available for bookings so if you want to have a group date, go with family or even get competitive with your work colleagues, they have options for all of them.
I got the chance to head along to the soft launch night at Black Cat Club and it was such a great evening. We were welcomed in and got the option to play games first then eat or have food first then play games. You know the competitive part of us decided to play darts first before trying out the food.
We were taken along to our individual dart board by the lovely Magda who took incredible care of us all evening. Magda talked us through how to play the different dart games on the board then helped us to choose our first round of drinks cause they've got such a big menu of just drinks including mocktails. I did treat myself to one cocktail (I know, risking a migraine) to kick off the evening and went for the Miss Dyna-Lychee which was a gin based cocktail with lychee, cucumber and raspberry. These were dangerous because they didn't taste like they had alcohol so I could easily drink them and makes it perfect if you're just starting to like cocktails and want to start trying out different types as it doesn't taste heavily of the alcoholic spirit. I was actually shocked because I was going to just have diet cokes afterwards cause usually there's not many mocktails on offer as usually non-drinkers aren't as well catered for but Black Cat Club have got our non-drinkers covered with 6 different mocktails so I ended up switching to the Raspberry Cream Soda's for the rest of the night and they were so delicious.
We ended up playing several rounds of darts and we were having so much fun getting competitive and laughing at how bad we were at playing darts. I've realised that my main goal when playing darts is simply to make sure that my dart hits the board and less about the number that I hit when it eventually hits the board. We tried playing traditional darts and also tried the multiple different versions where you play games for things like accuracy and things like that but also having fun at the same time. I think we ended up having 60 minutes to play as many games as we could on the dartboard.
Whilst we were playing darts, the lovely Magda came and brought one of their sharing platters off the menu. We went for the veggie sharing platter which came with crispy cauliflower, halloumi popcorn (my all-time favourite), padron peppers, onion rings as well as a selection of dips. On their main menu you can choose from sharing plates, small plates, pizzettas, burgers and sides so it's really good food that you can pick at whilst you're playing games. On their menu, you can get their express lunch menu from Mon-Fri 12-3pm where you can get a sandwich/wrap/burger with fries and a drink. Once we'd played games and finished our food, we went to the outdoor seating area at the front which had a fire table and heaters whilst we enjoyed a couple more drinks. Magda took such good care of us and brought out some of the pizzettas for us to try.
We had such an incredible evening at the Black Cat Club, we had so much fun and everyone took such great care of us but a major shout out to the wonderful Magda, we couldn't have had a better server. She knew exactly when to come check on us and see when we needed another round or make recommendations when we couldn't decide what to get. I can't wait to head back again and try out more of the menu.
