I haven't been to Mason's Liverpool for a little while now but recently they launches their Sundown sessions which is Ibiza style afternoon and evening of delicious food, drink and dancing. I love that Mason's Liverpool is constantly doing new events with various themes so you can find an event that will suits you. I was really excited for the Sundown Sessions because this event they also offered tapas which I've become a huge fan of little dishes instead of big meals.
I took my best friend along for a much needed Sunday catch up over some good food and I even allowed myself a cocktail which I never normally do because of my migraines. For the event, you had a choice of jugs of sangria that had three different flavour mixes or you could go for two cocktails for £15 with seven different options. We ended up going for the 2 cocktails deal and went for the O Peach which was a surprising refreshing and went down way too easy!
Not too long ago, I came along to Mason's Liverpool with Fliss another one of my best friends to try out they're roast dinner menu so I decided to go for three of the Tapas choices and my best friend Steph went for the vegan roast dinner option. It was so hard to make a choice as they have four different sections of Tapas dishes for you to choose from.
My best friend went for the vegan roast dinner which was Italian herb roasted butternut squash steak that came with Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, veggies and plant based gravy. This honestly came piled high on the plate and was surprisingly good. I ended up going for the pan con queso which is essentially cheesy garlic bread and was so delicious, then I went of the classic patatas bravas because is tapas if you don't get patatas bravas?! My only thing with the patatas bravas is that I wish the potatoes were crispier than they were. Finally I went for the pollo rojo which was chicken cooked with smoked paprika and peppers. Now I'm still getting used to spice so I found by the time I'd finished my meal, my mouth was a little blown off.
I loved having an afternoon out with my best friend, we were able to have fun, laugh whilst enjoying some good music. They had DJ's who also played instruments too and they even got involved with the various parties that were there celebrating.
