If you've been following my blog and social media for a little while now, you will know that I've become a big fan of Manucurist products since the middle of 2023 and recently they launched a new Active Range that is designed to be nail make-up and all in one product nail care and they very kindly sent me along the range to try out and tell you all about what I thought of it.
The Active Range is filled with 5 different products that have unique and innovative formulas to enhance your nails. The range has 1 bestseller and 4 new products that are enriched with concentrated active ingredients to enhance your natural nails whilst deeply nourishing and treating them. The range contains the Active Glow Raspberry, Active Glow Blueberry, Active Smooth, Active Bright and Active Shine.
Manucurist have wanted their new additions to their Active Range to be a place between makeup and nail care. They all have clean formulas with AHA's, vitamins and botanical extracts and depending on the look you are after, you can layer this up. You can buy these individually or they have 2, 3, or the 5 pack. The polishes in the range are designed to be used without a base or top coat and air dry for an easy application. I tried the OG Active Glow when I was having weeks when I wanted to give my nails a small break from the LED gel polish so I was excited to try out this new range.
The first one I was instantly drew to was the Active Shine cause it has such a beautiful shimmer to it which you can see with the image with flash above. This will give you a really subtle shimmer with one coats and with 2 coats it's a more intense shimmer with a pale pink shimmer. I did two coats of this and it left my nails feeling so much stronger than without anything on whilst also giving my nails a gorgeous shimmer. Now I'm used to nail polishes that take ages to dry but I was really impressed to see that these polishes from the Active Range seem to dry really quickly so I wasn't waiting around for ages unable to do anything. The Active Shine will also look gorgeous with one of the Active Glow polishes underneath it.
I really like that the Active Glow now has two different options, the raspberry and blueberry ones so one is cool-rose and one is a peachy pink. I like Active Glow polishes helps to enhance and nourish y0ur nails, it even has blueberries in the formula. Again these can be layered up to get a more intense look or doing one coat for a more sheer look depending on what you prefer. The Active Smooth is designed to instantly smooth and help erase nail imperfections. It has caster oil plant fibres which is what help to smooth and repair the ridges whilst the AHA's and Hexanal helps to deeply repairs the nail and helps with restoring, nourishing and hydrating your nail.
I love that depending on how your nails may be doing when you do them, you can actually layer up the Active Range products so you're getting more bang for your buck. My favourite at the moment is putting the Active Glow ones down first then layering the Active Shine over the top for a little bit of shimmer.
