I'm finally back with yet another Garnier skincare product review and this time it's the Vitamin C Brightening Serum and Brightening Night Serum because they've recently arrived on my doorstep so I thought I'd let you know how I've gotten along with especially if you want a budget friendly vitamin C serum.
Brightening Day 3.5% Serum
This Brightening Day Serum is a mix of vitamin C, niacinamide and salicylic acid to help reduce the appearance of dark spots and along with the lemon extract helps to enhance the glow in your skin, all whilst not being greasy or heavy on your skin. It helps to exfoliate your skin, brighten your skin and reduce the appearance of dark spots whilst also soothing your skin. When you open the serum you can really get a really nice citrus scent but I've noticed that when you go to apply it on your skin it barely has any scent and it melts straight into your skin, it really is so lightweight and nourishing. I've really liked using this serum to overall even out my skin tone and help brighten any dark spots I have from breakouts and the few bigger sun spots that I've gotten when I wasn't as good with SPF when I was younger.
Brightening Night 10% Serum
Garnier have brought out a night version of their day serum, this night version has 10% pure vitamin C in and hyaluronic acid which helps to reduce the appearance of pigmentation marks, improving your complexion to help visibly brighten dull skin at night when your skin is most receptive to be repaired so you can wake up with smoother, more revitalised skin in the morning. I feel like the evening serum is more of an oil compared to the day serum but it soaks in so it doesn't leave your skin feeling heavy or greasy which is great if you hate the greasy feeling and prefer oils or serums that just absorb straight in. I find that the night serum has a more of the luxurious scent which I really like using of an evening and whilst I have noticed a little improvement with my dark spots and breakout pigmentation, I can't wait to see the long-term difference when using this serum.
One thing I will say with these Garnier Vitamin C serum is that I accidentally screwed the lid on too tight and in trying to get it undone I did accidentally crack the side of the lid, it's not something that's impaired the use of the serum but is just something that is worth being aware and careful with.
