It's been a while since I talked about a Kylie Cosmetics product launch but they recently launched a new Power Plush longwear foundation and seen as I have their Power Plush concealer, I was interested to see what the hype was around this product. Luckily the day I went wasn't too busy thankfully for my anxiety.
Power Plush Longwear Foundation
The new Power Plush longwear foundations have only just launched and are designed to be a hydrating and instant smoothing foundation that has a buildable coverage with up to 12 hours of staying power. Despite being buildable formula, it's designed to be lightweight and helps to blur fine lines, pores and texture. They also currently have 40 shades of foundation in a range of cool, neutral and warm shades. The key is to start off with a light layer and build it up on the areas that need a bit of extra coverage. It's filled with niacinamide, centella, asiatica and vitamin E.
I really like how seamlessly this foundation applied with the specially designed foundation brush and it gave a blurred out look to the skin once it was blended out. I really like that they've got such a big range of shades to start off with. Because I've already got quite a few foundations that I'm working through, I got colour matched and got a little sample to try out at home. It's £29 for a 30ml bottle of foundation which I think is about average for a good foundation. I'm quickly becoming a fan of Kylie Cosmetics so I think I really need to give this foundation a test run and see how it performs and possibly even add it to my list of next-try products.
GHD Liverpool
At the end of the masterclass, the wonderful Josh from GHD flannels had a legit princess jasmine model to show us how to get the most out of our GHD products, how best to prep our hair with certain products depending on the look you're going for, and he also showed us some tips and tricks on how to use our styling tools from GHD to get different results. It was so handy to have someone there and then to ask questions about hair styling too instead of trying to figure it all out. Josh is so lovely and will always point you in the right direction of the tool that's going to work best for you.
