It's been a little while since I did a Top Picks style blog post but I've been using products from The Inkey List for over a year now so it's about time that I shared with you all some of my top six products that I really like and would recommend to you all, plus they're all very much budget friendly.
Oat Cleansing Balm
I've been a big fan of the Oat Cleansing Balm for double cleansing since this arrived on my door. It's only £10.99 for a 150ml tube and a little goes a long way so it's perfect if you want a budget friendly option and having tried some more expensive brands, I can't really see that much of a difference between them and this cleansing balm, so save your money and go for this one. The Oat Cleansing Balm is filled with 3% oat oil to help maintain your skin's moisture levels whilst also reducing blackheads as well as 1% oat powder which helps to reduce any redness and irritation. I found this cleansing balm takes every scrap of my makeup off even my waterproof mascara, all whilst not having to scrub at my skin or irritate my sensitive eyes which is a huge plus.
Salicylic Acid Cleanser
I've found the Salicylic Acid Cleanser is an amazing cleanser for your face but also for your body. Again it's only £10.99 for a 150ml bottle of cleanser. It's gentle enough to not irritate my skin but the cleanser helps to exfoliate and penetrate deeper into your skin's pores and help unclog them. This cleanser works amazingly when I have a really breakout heavy week or if I get the odd body breakout. I really like that it helps reduce the redness in my skin and I've noticed that using this Salicylic Acid Cleanser alongside my pimple patches makes my breakouts disappear quickly than if I just used my usual skincare routine.
Polyglutamic Acid
As someone with insanely dry and dehydrated skin, I'm always looking for something that helps to bring lots of hydration back into my skin so I've been loving using the Polyglutamic Acid alongside my Hyaluronic Acid to leave my skin as hydrated as possible. This serum holds 4x more moisture than hyaluronic acid so it's really going to help in these winter months when your skin is just zapped of moisture. I really like that it's a thicker serum but it quickly turns into like water and literally melts into your skin and your skin feels silky soft almost immediately. I really like applying this one before makeup because it leaves my skin feeling so soft and it leaves my makeup looking amazing too.
Hyaluronic Acid
Would it really be a top picks blog post without featuring some Hyaluronic Acid because lets face it's an essential for dry skin people! It's only £6.99 for a 30ml bottle which is amazing for the price and I believe that everyone should have some hyaluronic acid in their skincare routine especially in the winter. I will always either pop this straight onto my skin or mix it into my moisturiser if I'm in a rush.
15% Vitamin C and EGF
My skin needs all the help it can get with not looking so dull so I've loved adding the 15% Vitamin C and EGF serum into my skincare routine. One random thing I really like about this serum is how cooling it feels on your skin when you rub it in. It's a very lightweight serum so perfect for layering your serums. I like that it's designed to protect your skin from environmental stressors, stimulate collagen and elastin production, speed up skin regeneration and brighten dull skin.
Omega Water Cream
Lastly is the all amazing Omega Water Cream which has be raved about since it was launched and is a great budget friendly dupe of a much more expensive moisturiser. This moisturiser is only £9.99 for a 50ml tube and this literally turns into water on your skin so a little goes a very long way. It's a really lightweight, gel moisturiser thats filled with omega fatty acid complex, glycerin, betain and niacinamide. I find that my skin looks and feels so nourished when I pop this Omega Water Cream, however on no makeup days I do find that it leaves my skin looking a bit shiny purely because it leaves a layer of moisture on your skin but with a little bit of transparent powder it's absolutely fine and it keeps my skin feeling hydrated all day.
