Recently I kindly got invited to head into the Hourglass counter at Flannels Liverpool to meet the wonderful Phoebe and get an introduction into Hourglass while she did my makeup. I had such a wonderful evening learning all about the different ways to use the Hourglass products to make them work for my dry skin.

Phoebe kindly took the time to talk me through all the amazing products that Hourglass Cosmetics offer starting off with their skincare. I was so impressed with the glow that this skincare gave to my skin, it also left my skin feeling hydrated all evening. I really liked the Equilibrium Restoring Essence as it was so lightweight and hydrating.

For the makeup, we decided to go for a neutral, bronzy eye look with a glowing base makeup look. I've tried the foundation stick from Hourglass before but I loved the Ambient Soft Glow foundation which for once I was't actually the palest shade in every foundation, we ended up mixing the two palest shades to get the perfect custom shade that we could do a light coverage then building it up in the different areas that I needed like under my eyes, where I have any breakouts or any areas of redness like on my cheeks. I normally stick to pretty muted pink tones when it comes to my blush so let's just say I was very surprised when Phoebe walked over with a really bright blush stick but thankfully she showed me how I can adapt it and make it work for my pale skin tone.

I am an absolute magpie when it comes to anything sparkly in makeup so Phoebe immediately went for the Scattered Light Glitter eyeshadows which are honestly the most beautiful eyeshadows and totally my type of shadow to use on the daily. We decided to try out a glossy lip which looking back I love the Unreal High Shine Volumizing lip glosses with shimmer in the formula but I don't think the brighter pink lip liner, I don't know if that's because I usually go for a muted lip liner or one that exactly matches the lip product I'm using so the brighter pink really did push me out of my comfort zone.

Phoebe and everyone at the Hourglass counter in Flannels Liverpool were so incredibly nice and taught me different ways to get the most out of makeup depending on how I wanted my makeup to look that day. I definitely need to head back to get that eyeshadow and also the primer serum because it's just beautiful for my dry skin. Definitely head in the Hourglass counter whether you need to pick up some of your favs or if you need to get your makeup booked in for an event or to push you out of your comfort zone.
