Does anyone else feel like they've blinked and the entire month of April has just flown by?! I thought it was about time to share with you all a few of my beauty favourites that I've been loving during April, particularly seen as 3/4 of my month has been spent being really unwell with an asthma exacerbation that we now know is a reaction to the high levels of pollen that we've had this month.
Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser
I first talked about the Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser back when I was sent the Cohorted X Kate Somerville box and since then I've been using it as one of my steps in my double cleanse, especially on days when I was wearing makeup. I really like how it's such a calming, hydrating cleanser that doesn't irritate my skin, particularly my cheeks. For me, it just really smells of Manuka honey and I really like it, although if you're not into sweet smelling cleansers then it may not be the one for you. I found that it cleansed my skin without leaving it feeling stripped.
Elizabeth Grant Essence of Torricelumn & Wonder Effect Serum
I've been testing out Elizabeth Grant skincare for the past couple of months and this month I've been reaching for the Essence of Torricelumn and the Wonder Effect Serum again and again. The Essence of Torricelumn is perfect for popping on once you've cleansed and toned your skin to help it stay hydrated and more radiant without it feeling heavy on your skin. I find that on the days I use the Essence of Torricelumn in my skincare routine, my skincare and makeup just seems to sit better than it does on the days I don't use it. The Wonder Effect Serum is a beautiful exfoliating serum that uses hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid and Torricelumn to help exfoliate, hydrate and minimise signs of aging. I mean for one it comes it in the most beautiful bottle that just looks stunning on your dresser but it also leaves my skin looking so hydrated and radiant the next morning, it also has helped with impurities and fine lines.
Sunday Riley U.F.O Oil
This is my first Sunday Riley facial oil and I now know why so many people are obsessed with Sunday Riley cause this U.F.O Oil helps to tackle breakouts and blackhead causing buildup and debris from congested pores. I really like how quick absorbing this facial oil is and doesn't leave my skin feeling super greasy and I've noticed that because of the ingredients and the green colour, it not only soothes my breakouts but the green tint helps reduce the redness around breakouts. I tend to mainly use this facial oil in my T-Zone as that's where I mainly get all my breakouts and blackheads and I find that it fits perfectly into my skincare routine.
L'Occitane Immortelle Reset Eye Serum & Immortelle Divine Cream
I've been a big fan of these bits that I've tried from the L'Occitane Immortelle range and the Immortelle Divine Cream is such a gorgeous nourishing moisturiser. It's designed to help you tackle signs of aging whilst also hydrating and nourishing your skin. I really like how rich the cream is without making your skin feel greasy, it just gives your skin like a satin feel whilst being really radiant. I find that this moisturiser is perfect under makeup, I pop it on then give it a good 30 minutes to fully sink in and hydrate my skin then pop my makeup on over the top. I'm really being won over by eye serums and in part it's thanks to the Immortelle Reset Eye Serum cause it just looks so cool and luxurious with the golden bubbles of Immortelle oil extract suspended in the serum. I really like how lightweight this serum is and doesn't leave my under eyes feeling all greasy. You only need a tiny dot of serum to do your entire under eye area, I love popping this on in the morning and then massaging it in with the smaller side of my jade roller which is perfect as with all the high pollen levels, my eyes have been so puffy so it's really relaxing and soothing, especially if you put the jade roller in the fridge.
Murad ExaSoothe Daily Defense Cream & Quick Relief Moisture Treatment
I've been testing out these goodies from the ExaSoothe range for a little while now and my favourites are definitely the Daily Defense Cream and the Quick Relief Moisture Treatment. This has been a go to for me from the day that it landed on my doorstep, even with my dry skin I seem to have some patches that can become really dry and flaky. This Quick Relief Moisture Treatment is perfect as I can put my serum on then pop this treatment on before my moisturiser to give my skin so extra hydration and minimise any irritation from the dryness. The Daily Defense Cream has been my go to when my skin is particularly dry and irritated because instead of being a cream it's more of a balm so it's perfect for locking in the hydration whilst minimising any irritation which is perfect cause I hate when my skin gets really dry and starts stinging, this really does help tackle that and leave my skin feeling so soft.
