Hello, my name is Danielle and I'm a skincare addict! Since I was introduced to Clarins in 2017, I've fallen more and more in love with skincare and their brand, I even hosted my first ever event with them! Last week I got the chance to head back to my favourite counter for a launch event for their new My Clarins range to try it out for myself and it inspired me to try out the new range for the next 4 weeks to see how it improves my poor nurse's skin and to see the difference it actually makes to my skin.

When I was growing up as a teenager I didn't know too much about skincare so it wasn't until my late teens/early twenties that I really started to get to grips with skincare and taking care of my skin instead of just putting makeup on to cover it.

The Range
The new My Clarins range is the latest launch from Clarins, it's a completely vegan skincare range targeted towards anyone under 30, although as the girls told me at the event it can actually be used by anyone of any age! This new range has been formulated to be completely vegan, eco-conscious and plant-based with anti-pollution complexes. It's designed to be simple and easy to use and can be used by any skin type (they do have three day-time moisturisers depending on your skincare) for flawless, healthier looking skin with minimal effort. As this range is targeted towards 18-25 year olds, I must say that the price point of this range is much more affordable compared to the usual skincare which is great as it makes it much more accessible to a younger audience.

The new range contains only 9 products which speaks to the thought behind the range that as young women we are constantly on the go with work, friends, events and life and our skincare should work for that. The idea is that we can simplify our skincare but still take great care of our skin and giving us glowing, healthy skin. Whilst at the event Kelly talked us through the new range, some of the ingredients included and how they can be used. I came away with 5 items from the range to test out of the next 4 weeks, I've decided that here on my blog I'm going to be doing a first impressions post (which you're reading today) and then a review in 4 weeks after I've tried it out with progress pictures to see how it's improved my skin.

I decided to pick up a day/night moisturiser, spot treatment, hydrating facial mist and cleansing milk to try out for the next 4 weeks. One thing I've noticed straight away with the new range is how nice and fresh all the products smell, none of them has harsh chemical smells to them.

Re-Move Micellar Cleansing Milk
My first step of cleansing is always using micellar water to take all my makeup off before I wash my face, so I picked up the Re-Move micellar cleansing milk to use every evening to cleanse my face. It has extracts of moringa and fig which hydrates and comforts your skin whilst getting off the most stubborn of mascaras, it's even suitable for the most sensitive of skin. This has such a lovely fresh, almost slightly fruity scent and my skin feels instantly softer since I applied it to my skin.

Clear-Out & Re-Fresh
One of the things I've always felt Clarins were missing was a spot treatment, the Clear-Out treatment helps to reduce inflammation and appearances of spots to get rid of them within a couple of days. I love using spot treatments to target my imperfections that always sprout up around my chin and nose. I can't wait to see how much they improve my spots and help to clear them up. I've been loving using facial mists as the last step of my skincare routine but also using them to refresh my skin and as a pick me up during my very longs shifts at work. For me, the Re-Fresh facial mist is the best smelling product in the range, it's incredible! It's got coconut water, Alpenrose, Robina flower water and acerola seed extract to help hydrate, soothe, detoxify and get glowing skin. I'm going to be taking this with me to work so that I can use it at the end of my skincare routine and then throughout my shifts for some much-needed hydration.

Re-Charge & Re-Boost
Last up is the moisturisers, I ended up going for the night time Re-Charge sleeping mask and the Re-Boost comforting hydrating cream. The sleeping mask can be used in a thinner layer as a night cream or as a thicker layer as an intensive sleeping mask, the night cream has a thinner texture but it has such a cooling effect once applied to your skin. It contains acerola seed extract, fig and Huang qi extract which help to hydrate and brighten your skin whilst also detoxifying and clearing your complexion, I love that this doesn't have too strong a smell and it sinks straight into my skin. I decided to go for the comforting hydrating cream for my day cream, the range has 3 different day creams that you can choose from depending on what you need for your skin. My skin is often on the dryer side, especially because where I work in Critical Care as it's a dry air environment so I tend to go for day creams that target more normal to dry skin. I love the smell of this one, I think it's because it has Shea butter, Alpenrose and coconut water to help intensely hydrate (for 24 hours apparently), re-energise and offer deep nourishment to help re-balance dry skin. Whilst this cream is a lot thicker in consistency, it melts right into your skin with minimal effort.

I'm excited for the next 4 weeks to see what an impact this new range has on my skin, it's already feeling more hydrated and radiant after 1 day so I can't wait to see the results. I will be doing a 4 week review with update pictures and I will be doing a first impressions and 4 week review on my youtube channel where I feature the next couple of weeks in vlog style to see how I'm getting on and on the spot mini reviews. If you fancy trying out the range but not sure what to get they offer a little My Clarins quiz where you can answer questions and it will pick a couple of products out for you.

What do you think of the new range?

Speak to you next time!
*I was gifted a free ticket to the My Clarins event but all products were bought by myself.
All opinions are honest and my own.
