Review | Dermalogica Daily Milkfoliant

Danielle Levy, Dermalogica, Daily Milkfoliant, skincare blogger, beauty blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

I've been a big fan of the Daily Microfoliant since I've been part of the Dermalogica Skinfluencer's program so when they came out with the Daily Milkfoliant at the end of this summer which is a gentler, more soothing version of their Daily Microfoliant, I just had to put it to the test and let you guys know how I got on with it.

The Daily Milkfoliant came out this summer at just the right time as we start transitioning into the colder months of the year. It's a calming, vegan exfoliating powder that is designed to polish the skin whilst also supporting the skin's moisture barrier. It's filled with oat, coconut, AHA's and BHA's which combine to give you softer, smoother and brighter skin. You can pick up the full 74g size for £59 or if you're wanting to test it out or use it for travelling, you can get a miniature 13g size for only £15.

My Experiences
I have pretty sensitive skin particularly on my cheeks that can not only react to skincare but other things and most recently it's been reacting to wearing face masks for hours and hours in work. While I do find the Daily Microfoliant gentle enough for me to use on a regular basis, I do sometimes find that if my skin is having a particularly bad day or I've had a mild reaction to something, the Daily Microfoliant can sometimes just be a bit too much.

The Daily Milkfoliant is super gentle so on those areas on my cheeks that I tend to get sensitive the most, this really tackles that, reduces this redness and actually leaves my skin feeling really soft and nourished. Even when I visited the Dermalogica counter in Flannels for a facial last week, they even recommended the Daily Milkfoliant as a gentle alternative in the exfoliation step. I chop and change whether I use this in my morning or evening skincare routine, it all depends on how my skin is feeling and looking that day. Because my skin is on the drier side, I really like that the Daily Milkfoliant doesn't foam up quite as much as the Daily Microfoliant and goes to more of a creamy paste so it's super nourishing and it doesn't leave your skin feeling stripped or tight before you put moisturiser on top.

When I had my Dermalogica ProSkin facial last week, the lovely Alexia used this Daily Milkfoliant on my skin, she made it into a paste and brushed it on my skin, she then let it sit on my skin for a moment then massaged it into my skin and it felt incredible on my skin. It literally left my skin feeling so nourished and soothed, my face was also incredibly soft. I was a little bit in shock of how well it performed and how much my skin loved it. If you're ever unsure about how to use your skincare products from Dermalogica, you can always pop into your local counter or speak to the team online and they will show you how to use your products but also how to use it to get the best out of the products.
