I've used Maybelline since I got into makeup as a teenager so I was really excited to get an surprise package from them with their new launch for the Superstay range, the Teddy Tint. This tint has actually gone viral in Asia and is supposed to give you a blurred matte finish. Now I've been a fan of liquid lipsticks since I first got into makeup, usually cause I 100% forget to top it up during the day once I've put it on.
I love that we're having all of the amazing trends coming over from Asia including these Teddy Tint's which are designed to give you the ultimate lip blush look with up to 12hr wear, as well as being transfer proof and giving you the perfect blurred matte finish. They currently have 8 shades in some browns, pink, nudes and even a deep purple and priced at £111.99.
They kindly sent me along 3 of the 8 shades to try out and review for you all. I got the shades Current Mood, Petalcore and SkinnyDip which I love cause it gave me a lovely pink, a true nude & and a pinky nude. These can be used in several ways, they can be used on your cheeks then on your lips either as a subtle gradient look, a blurred effect or a bold look with it applied straight with the doe foot applicator.
I've been reaching for the shade Current Mood again and again because it's my perfect daily pink nude colour so it literally goes with everything I'm wearing and as the spring is starting to appear (yes we're getting close to that time of year), I've been using the Petalcore shade as it's a gorgeous brighter pink. Now I eat and drink a lot during the day so I need a lip product thats going to hold up to that and not need applying every 5 minutes. I've really liked wearing this in a blurred effect where I put a bit on and then smudge it in with my fingertips for a more subtle day to day look with minimal makeup then when I'm going out I tend to wear it in a the bold full effect like a standard liquid lipstick for a more intense look.
Now I drink and lick my lips a lot during the day so I find that I usually can get away with applying it once especially if I'm doing it in a more smudged out look, when I wear a more bold look I do find that by the middle-end of the day I do need a little top up mainly in the middle of my lips to keep the colour looking consistent. Overall, I'm really liking these and I like that these don't dry my lips out like some liquid lipsticks and I'm really liking adding a lip oil over the top to give it a glossy finish.
