Right now it's a really struggle with my mental health about leaving the house and I was so thankful for my friends who are always there to support and reassure me when I am able to leave the house. Recently we got the chance to go along to Tenpin Chester that has just opened their doors and have some catch up time between friends.
As you enter Tenpin Chester, you are greeted with traditional arcade games as well as a few new ones. Then there is two floors of bowling lanes as well as escape rooms, laser tag and karaoke rooms with another bar upstairs. On the left as you walk in, you can book your bowling lane, laser tag, escape rooms or karaoke. Whilst there you can also order food to eat either on the ground floor or you can order the food and drinks straight to your lane to much on whilst you're bowling.
I haven't been bowling in years and even then I wasn't great at it so we started off with trying to bowl with the bumpers down, however I very quickly failed and couldn't stop it going in the gutters so as you can see I switched to using the bumpers which massively helped. Love that you can put a group picture to display on your private scoring board in your lane booth but the screen doesn't move and me and my friends are all just over 5ft so we barely reached the camera as you can see. I really like the lanes are separated by their own walls to make it more private and you have a screen with the running scores so you can simply just enjoy the time with your friends or family.
We had so much fun at the Tenpin event, you literally walk in and the Chester location is huge so there's plenty of things to do whether you're going with friends or you want to head along with the family. We were laughing so much at how badly mainly I was at bowling, apparently I really like the left corner pins when bowling and they were the only ones I knocked done 90% of the time! We ordered a second drink to the bowling lane which was so quick and simple, you have menus on each lane and there is a QR code that you scan which is individual for your lane or table so you simply scan, choose what you want and pay on your phone then get back to your fun.
All of the staff are so lovely and helpful whilst we were there. We ended up finishing our rounds of bowling which I managed to loose despite having the bumpers up so clearly bowling isn't my sport, then we decided to order food sat at one of the booths as you walk in to the left whilst we decided what else we wanted to try out. I ended up going for the cheeseburger and Fliss went for the hot dug, both of which came with chips and were both delicious. I loved that the burger was a smash burger style and you could add or take away things you didn't like, it was the perfect amount of meat and cheese.
After we had eaten, we took a little wander around Tenpin Chester to see the arcade games they had to offer as well as what was available to offer on the upper floor. We were really impressed with all the arcade games they had to offer as well as the pool tables upstairs and downstairs. If you didn't already know, the new Tenpin Chester is located on the Chester retail park on Olds Seals Way and is open from 10am-12am Sunday till Thursday and 10am-1am Friday and Saturday. You can either go in person or you can also book online for the bowling, laser tag, and karaoke. They've even got party packages available for both kids and adults.
