If you've been following my social media (particularly my tiktok), you will know that I've been making some lifestyle and food changes with the help of my PT Suraj. Something I've been testing out that has really been helping with that is the Digital Weight Loss Fitness Planner from Not Your 9 To 5 Printable, I've been using it for a couple of weeks so far but I thought I would do my first check in and review with you all.
I've never used a digital planner to track my meals, exercise, goals and habits. I am just so used to having a paper version but I always found that I'd start using them but forget after a while because I'd end up forgetting to jot things down in it. Thankfully this journal came at the perfect time and it's allowed me to make good use of my new iPad.
It took me a minute to get used to using, but I was actually very surprised how quickly I picked it up and how much I really liked using it. I liked that if I made a mistake I can simply just erase it and start again. The journal is super easy to use and has separate sections for goals, meal plans, recipes, habit trackers, a 30 day challenge, weight progress chart, 12-week progress pictures, workout tracker and notes section. I love that it's completely undated so you can either dip in and out of it or if you use it for 12 week consistently then scrub everything out and start again for another 12 weeks.
I've been using it for the past couple of weeks and already I've lost 2.5kg (or 5.5lbs) and actually started improving my habits and making better choices. I've been using it in combination with my PT sessions and they work perfectly together. I love that you can use the planner as much or as little as you like, if you're into calorie counting there's somewhere for you to fill that out. My favourite parts are the weekly meal planner/grocery list section but also the daily journal section because it's not just a boring meal tracker, you get to track your top habits to complete, a morning check in section, your exercise and water intake section, but you also get a section to write a reason you're happy today and also to rate your day. Thanks to my PT, I've gotten into daily reflection and the importance of making better choices when it comes to making habits, all of which is in general making me feel healthier and happier.
I'm going to keep doing some check in's whilst I'm using this digital journal so that you can see how I get on and any progress that I make. I'm combining using the journal with completing the 75 Balanced Challenge on my days off.
