Danielle Levy, Dermalogica, Smart Serum, skincare blogger, beauty blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

I have loving being a part of the Dermalogica Skinfluencer programme because it's let me try out so many amazing new launches and Dermalogica has quickly become one of my favourite skincare brands, my skin has just instantly gotten along with their products. One of their latest serum launches is the amazing new Smart Response Serum which not only targets four different problems but is also super smart and will target these areas at different times throughout the day.

Dermalogica Smart Response Serum
Dermalogica have literally took skincare to the next level with their new Smart Response Serum, their next generation serum is designed to give your skin exactly what it needs, exactly when it needs it. The SmartResponse technology in the serum is what reacts to micro-changes in your skin throughout the day to tackle hydrate, brighten, soothe, and address fine lines and wrinkles, giving you personalised skincare that gives you healthier looking skin over time.

The Smart Response Serum is filled with tons of skin loving ingredients such as Gallic acid which helps to protect stressed skin to soothe and reduce the appearance of redness, Mannose-6-Phosphate which helps to visibly smooth and firm your skin whilst also responding to even the first signs of ageing, Hydrolyzed wheat flour which helps to brighten your skin and reduce dark spots, and Oligosaccharides which responds to signs of dehydration in your skin to maintain optimal hydration levels and protect your skin's barrier.

My Experiences
I've been giving the Smart Response Serum a good test run both at home, with and without makeup but I've also been giving it a test run whilst I'm at work (keep your eyes peeled for some video content all about my trial wearing it at work) and in all cases I've really been loving it.

The Smart Response Serum comes in a lovely metal tube with a really nice pump and you get 30ml of serum for £130 so it is a little bit on the pricier side but you do have to consider that is essentially has four different serums all in one with the SmartResponse technology. I find that two pumps is more than enough to massage into my entire face and neck, it is a thicker serum texture but as soon as you start rubbing it in, it literally melts into your skin and leaves it dry and soft to the touch within seconds of applying it.

I've really noticed that it's helped with the hydration and soothing of my skin, particularly in work as my skin can get very dry and irritated in my masks on a 13hr shift. My skin really does look softer, more hydrated and less irritated on the days that I use the Smart Response Serum compared to the days I use other skincare products. I have got some red marking from maskne so I'll be interested to see how much improves the red pigmentation I've got with long-term use. If I'm putting something on my face, the scent of the product is a big decider for me because if it's too overwhelming or doesn't smell too great, I just know that I'm not going to use it but thankfully the Smart Response Serum has a really nice, subtle scent that you don't even notice once you massage it into your skin!
