Testing Out This Works My Wrinkles Skincare

Danielle Levy,This Works, This Works skincare, This Works My Wrinkles range, beauty blogger, skincare, natural skincare, Liverpool blogger, Wirral blogger,

As scary as it seems I've passed the mid-twenties border and have begun to head towards my thirties so I've been on a mission this year to take care of my skin. I've always had fine lines directly under my eyes, kind of below my eyelashes since I was literally a teenager and I've become to notice this year that I've begun to get a couple more wrinkles and I think it's time I need to start trying products to help prevent any more! It's like the lovely folks at This Works heard my struggles and offered to send me some of their new My Wrinkles range to test out.

This Works has been around since 2003 and was created by Kathy Philips, the former Beauty Director of Vogue UK. Kathy created a range of targeted products that help your skin 24 hours a day working alongside your body's natural circadian rhythm without using unnecessary chemicals in your products. As a company, they're also trying to be more socially responsible with their packaging, as well as the bottles/tubes being recyclable, none of their raw materials is tested on animals and they strive to use fairly traded ingredients and organically grown plants wherever possible in their products.

They very kindly sent me across the My Wrinkles range to try out including an eye cream for night and day and a day and night face cream. I've never had a dedicated eye cream for night and day so I'm not going to lie I felt very fancy using it! The whole range is 97% natural and is designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, increase hydration and improve elasticity. I love the packaging on the day and night creams, they come in a stunning clear cube with the section the holds the cream in the middle in the corresponding colour for the day or night range. I've been testing out the face and eye creams for the past couple of weeks so I can give you all a proper review of how I got on with them, especially with the changing of the seasons it was the perfect time to try them out.

Trying these eye creams came at the perfect time as all my other eye creams had run out beside one that I wasn't a huge fan of so I was excited to start wearing them morning and night. The My Wrinkles Eye Repair is the morning eye cream which helps to smooth, hydrate and firm the undereye area whilst providing daily protection for your delicate undereye area. It contains Bakuchiol which is an anti-inflammatory and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, Oat extract to help soothe and hydrate whilst also reinforcing the lipid barrier, as well as Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid which helps to give you brighter and plumper under eyes. The eye cream itself is a standard beige colour but it smells amazing, I don't know what makes it smell so good but I love putting it on in the morning. I find it melts instantly into my skin and leaves my skin so soft and ready for makeup, I feel like it has helped with my fine lines under my eyes and I find that my makeup doesn't settle into the lines under my eyes like it used to.

The nighttime version is the My Wrinkles Tired Eyes which works to brighten, smooth and hydrate the eye area whilst you get some much-needed beauty sleep. This one also contains the anti-inflammatory Bakuchiol to fight fine lines and wrinkles whilst you sleep but it also contains Persian Silk Tree extract which helps to brighten the undereye area by reducing dark circles as well as Hyaluronic Acid to help moisturise your undereye area and prepare your skin ready for makeup the next day. I have genuinely fallen in love with this night time eye cream, I love the bright green colour (which disappears as you rub it in, don't worry!), I also find it to be a little thicker than the day version and has a really calming scent to it. It's become a part of my wind-down routine before bed, as soon as I put it on I feel like I start calming down and getting tired! I love the simple packaging for both eye creams and how easy it was to use, the packaging comes in a simple white tube that allows you to see exactly how much product you've got left. I also love the tube design as it minimises the bacteria that comes in contact with the product as you're not dipping your fingers into a pot then putting that on your sensitive undereye area.

Now onto the fun part....the face creams. At the minute I don't have a set face cream for the night time that I love so I've been using the My Wrinkles Midnight Moisture religiously since I received it and I'm really impressed. It is designed to work hard for you whilst you get your beauty sleep to help protect skin integrity, prevent water loss overnight whilst supporting overnight cleansing. As with the eye cream, it contains Hyaluronic Acid, Persian Silk Tree extract and Bakuchiol which not only works on those fine lines and wrinkles as well as nourishing your skin overnight but it also helps to fight improving radiance and reducing dryness and roughness of the skin surface. Similar to the eye cream its bright green in colour and has that same calming scent, I find it thicker in texture compared to the eye creams and day time face creams but I actually love that it's thicker for a night cream as I get really dry skin thanks to the dry air especially in work so I love a really intensive night cream and boy does my skin drink this one up. I wake up the next morning and my skin doesn't feel dry or rough and I feel really moisturised and plumped ready for a day of makeup.

Lastly, of a morning I've been using the My Wrinkles Extreme Moisturiser which is designed to brighten up and hydrate your skin whilst fighting those wrinkles. It contains slow-release Vitamin C to help brighten your skin over the day whilst the Bakuchiol works on those fine lines and wrinkles and the Hyaluronic Acid gives you some much need nourishment to keep your skin looking incredible all day. It is also supposed to help replenish dehydrated skin after water loss overnight so this one is fab if you don't have the day and night regime you could still use this one to help nourish your skin. The scent of this cream is the same as the eye cream and is really fresh and it literally makes me feel like I'm pampering myself when I use it every morning! I've also noticed that my makeup sits really nicely on top of this moisturiser which is a huge feat at this time of year.

I'd never tried any skincare from This Works before this launch but I've become a huge fan, everything just seemed to work perfectly for me and can't wait to try out some more products, please let me know if you've got some favourites from them that I need to try out.
