June Favourites

Danielle Levy, June Favourites, Dermalogica, ARK Skincare, beauty blogger, Liverpool blogger, skincare blogger, Wirral blogger,

Thanks to getting covid this month, I feel like I've blinked and June is already over and done with! I've already done a blog post all about my covid skincare essentials so this month's favourites will be a bit shorter than normal but there's definitely a couple of things that weren't in that blog post at the beginning of June.

Dermalogica Circular Hydration Serum
I've spoken before about how much I've loved the Circular Hydration serum from Dermalogica and I will be doing a more in-depth review of this serum this coming month. My skin has been so dry as of late so I've been adding this serum into my morning and evening skincare routine and it's made such a difference especially on the days that I wear makeup. The Circular Hydration serum is filled with hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid, and an algae-infused extract moisturising extract to help nourish your skin, replenishing it from the inside out and helping to provide long-lasting hydration.

ARK Hydrating Beauty Mist
I've been a big fan of the ARK Hydrating Beauty mist since I started working with ARK over the past couple of years. I use this facial mist more than just once in my day, I use it in my skincare routine before I apply any serum with hyaluronic acid in so I can trap in the moisture, after I've finished applying my skincare, throughout my day when I get a bit warm. In work I'll actually spritz this facial mist on before I put a mask on at the start of my shift, when I take my mask off at breaks, when I take my mask off at the end of the day. I actually keep a travel size of this Hydrating Beauty mist in the fridge during the summer to refresh and cool my skin, I also keep a travel size in my locker at work because I just love how it refreshes my skin.

ARK Intensive Hand & Nail Cream
Before June I was using this ARK Intensive Hand & Nail cream when I first wake up and before I go to bed, but this month I've actually been taking a spare tube I had of this hand cream to work with me and it's actually been helping my hands and particularly my cuticles from falling apart with all the hand washing and hand sanitiser we use. I love that it not only hydrates and nourishes my very dry, weathered hands but it also helps soothe irritated skin so it's perfect when the skin around my knuckles and cuticles get very irritated.

Lanolips Strawberry Jelly Balm
I am quickly becoming a big fan of Lanolips and it's really no surprise I'm a fan of this Strawberry Jelly balm, I'm a huge fan of anything strawberry scented (can you tell what my favourite fruit is?!). These jelly balms are a makeover of their 101 Fruities and come in 3 different shades. No matter how much water I drink my lips are always dry so I really like that the Jelly balms are filled with lanolin which helps soak your skin in moisture, leaving them super soft. I love that these balms are slightly tinted so they work perfectly on their own during the day or over the top of your favourite lipstick.

Reading
Since getting sick then getting covid immediately afterwards has really enforced that I can't be a workaholic anymore and that I need to take more time out to relax and take time out for me that isn't nursing or blogging/social media related. This month I've been loving curling up in bed at the end of the day with a book and cup of decaf tea and spending the last 30-60 minutes before I go to sleep reading. As someone that's been struggling with sleep the past couple of months, I've found it really handy because I'm spending less time looking at screens before I try and sleep so I've found that I'm actually able to get fall asleep at a reasonable time. One thing I do have to note with this is that I have to be very careful about which books I read before bed as I have been known to be up most of the night reading without realising it.

Sims 4
Yes I am going to have a geeky moment but I've always been a Sims fan and when I get the chance I'll sit and play it on my laptop. Since having covid I've really gotten back into playing it and will use it as my down time activity as it's something I can do without having to pay a whole lot of attention to it, I can play it while catching up with my favourite shows on my iPad so it's a perfect way to de-stress from the day.

What have you been loving in June?

Speak to you next time!
