Top Picks | The Inkey List

Danielle Levy, The Inkey List, beauty blogger, skincare blogger, beauty, skincare, Liverpool blogger, Wirral blogger,

I have been very lucky over the past year that I've had the chance to work with The Inkey List and try out their products, from what I've tried so far I've really liked and I thought I would share with you all some of my top picks so if you're new to the brand or haven't tried some of these products from them, you can get a little mini review of my experiences trying them to help you see if you want to try them for yourself.

Oat Cleansing Balm
I am a big fan of double cleansing even if I'm having a skincare only day so I've been loving the Oat Cleansing Balm for my first cleanse. This cleansing balm can be used to either remove makeup, remove SPF and you can even use it as a nourishing face mask. It's filled with 3% oat kernel oil which helps to dissolve congestion and it also helps to rebuild your moisture barrier, it also has 1% colloidal oatmeal which helps to reduce any redness or irritation in your skin. I have put this cleansing balm up against some of my waterproof mascara's and this balm just melts them off without irritating or stinging my eyes. It's also a bargain of a cleansing balm for only £9.99 for 150ml. Something I do need to try is using it as a face mask, apparently you can leave it on for 10 minutes as a nourishing face mask so that's something I definitely need to try asap.

Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser
I have really dry, sensitive skin so you know I am all about a Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser cause it is just made for those of us with drier skin. It is designed to remove makeup (although I've never used it to remove makeup) whilst cleansing and hydrating your skin. It's filled with 1% hyaluronic acid, 1% inulin compound and 2% betaine which helps to improve moisture levels in your skin whilst supporting your skin's barrier. Because of my dry skin, I instantly know if a cleanser is going to work for me because I will get that uncomfortable, tight feeling after I've washed my face. Thankfully this Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser leaves my face just feeling so hydrated with no irritation. I always feel like The Inkey List cleansers seem to last forever even when you're using them twice a day and it's only £10 so you really do get your money's worth.

Madecassoside Mask
Spending all day in a mask at work, my skin gets very stressed out very easily so this Madecassoside Mask is worth it's weight in gold. This is a super quick face mask that instant soothes your stressed out skin in 10 minutes. The madecassoside helps to reduce redness and irritation. I really love using this face mask when I'm working back to back shifts, I'll get home and double cleanse straight away then pop this madecassoside mask on and wear it whilst I sort my lunch out, clean my coffee cup and read a book. I do leave it on for a little longer than the suggested 15 minutes (you can also leave it on and use it as an overnight mask) which I find works perfectly for me and leaves my skin feeling so soft and soothed especially because I'll be in a face mask for 12-13hrs the next day.

Tranexamic Acid Night Treatment
This is one of my newest products that I've been testing out but it's quickly becoming one of my favourites. This Tranexamic Acid Night Treatment is designed to be used instead of your usual nighttime moisturiser and helps to brighten your complexion as well as targeting hyperpigmentation, uneven patches and dark spots. It's filled with 2% tranexamic acid, 2% acai berry extract and 2% vitamin C which help to even out your skin as well as brightening. My only one quip with this product is that you do have to give it a while to absorb as I've found that it can be a bit sticky on my skin till it melts into my skin so it's something to keep in mind.

Caffeine Eye Cream
I have been using this Caffeine Eye Cream for the past couple of weeks after my last eye cream ran out and I love how lightweight and hydrating this is. I've been using this eye cream before work and once I've popped it on, I've been using a facial roller to have a mini pamper and massage it in, this also helps to wake me up in the morning. This eye cream is designed to reduce puffiness, dark circles, fine lines as well as providing a perfect base for your makeup. I haven't noticed too much difference in my dark circles (thanks genetics!) but I have noticed a difference in the puffiness and how my concealer applies over the top and for only £9 can you really find a better eye cream?!

Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Scalp Treatment
I love physical scrubs for my scalp so I was so excited to try out the Glycolic Acid scalp treatment as it's both a physical and chemical exfoliators. It's filled with 7% glycolic acid and 2% castor beads so it gentle exfoliates to remove dead skin cells and product build up. This is a pre-shampoo treatment and I love that the bottle comes with a point tip so you can use it to separate the layers in your hair and make sure you get the product all over your scalp. I use every 2-3 times that I wash my hair. Big tip is to remember to really shake the bottle before applying to make sure that the physical particles haven't settled to the bottom of your bottle.

PCA Bond Repair Hair Treatment
I'm pretty new to The Inkey List haircare range but I'm quickly becoming obsessed with the range. Since this PCA Bond Repair Hair Treatment arrived, I've been using it every time I wash my hair, in fact I'm almost out of this and I'll have to repurchase it very soon. This treatment is perfect for anyone that has damaged their hair with bleach, heat or hair dye which I'm guessing is a large portion of those reading this. I love that it's a super fine mist because I find that anything that's too heavy will tend to weigh my hair down and make it look dirty/greasy. I found that the ends of my hair have definitely started looking better compared to how it looked before I started using it, it's looks more healthier, less frizzy and more shiny.

What's your favourite The Inkey List product?
