Review | Dermalogica Biolumin-C Range

Danielle Levy, Dermalogica, Dermalogica vitamin c range, beauty blogger, skincare blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

I don't know about you but this Winter and in all the cold, dreary weather my skin has really been suffered and just looks dull without any glow. Thankfully I've got the Dermalogica Biolumin-C range in my skincare arsenal to give my skin a much needed boost and help tackle any early signs of ageing and I thought for today's blog post I would share with you all my thoughts of the Biolumin-C range.

The Benefit of Vitamin C
Do you know the benefit of having vitamin C in your skincare routine? Vitamin C is a powerful potent antioxidant that neutralises free radicals, it aids in your skin's natural regenerative process so it helps your body to repair damaged skin cells. It also helps to keep your skin plump and firm, promote collagen production, prevents premature ageing, and helps to prevent dark spots/discolouration.

Biolumin-C Eye Serum
The Biolumin-C eye serum was the first product I ever tried from the Biolumin-C range at Dermalogica and honestly I fell in love with it. I suffer from dry skin in general and I feel like my eye area whilst it may feel soft and smooth, whenever I apply any makeup on it, it always seems to look dry and the fine lines come out to play. During the summer, I can get away with just using this serum around my eye area but during the winter I actually layer up with an eye cream to give the skin an extra hit of hydration. It's designed to tackle visible signs of skin ageing caused by daily eye movements and environmental stress.

It is definitely an eye serum compared to an eye cream but I find that because of that it sinks in better and deeper to my eye area and doesn't just sit on the top layer of skin. A little of this goes a very long way indeed, I find that I only need a dot the size of a pea to do my entire eye area so whilst it is more pricey at £63 for a tube, it's honestly lasted me since the beginning of 2021 so I honestly think that it's worth the price.

Biolumin-C Serum
Before I found the Biolumin-C serum I had been on the hunt for a vitamin C serum and this one landed in my post at the perfect time. It is designed to help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, brighten, firm, and plump your skin. I don't know what it is with the Biolumin-C range but the products in this range really seem to last me ages which I love because the products are more in the luxury price tag range but I really feel like I get my money worth so I don't mind paying a little more for a better quality skincare product.

I love using this serum morning and night following cleansing, I find that a full dropper does my entire face and neck and leaves my skin with such a lovely glow even after the first couple of uses. I will warn you that if you use too much product it will get a bit sticky on your skin (like using too much of any moisturiser). I love that the Biolumin-C range has a gorgeous, refreshing scent so it's perfect for applying first thing in the morning when you just can't wake up. I'm already on my second bottle of the Biolumin-C serum and honestly I love how plump, hydrated and glowy it leaves my skin looking. I find that it layers amazing with my other Dermalogica products but it also works amazingly well with my other low-priced skincare items.

Biolumin-C Gel Moisturiser
The Biolumin-C gel moisturiser is the most recent addition to the Biolumin-C range and I completely get the craze from when it launched because this moisturiser is worth it's weight in gold. This gel moisturiser is super lightweight and cooling for your skin, it's filled with a vitamin-C rich formula which helps it to provide weightless hydration, gives your skin a radiance boost whilst also brightening the appearance of skin immediately and with continued use over time.

I've honestly been loving the texture of the Biolumin-C moisturiser, with it being gel it's so cooling and nourishing. I imagine it's going to feel amazing when the weather starts heating up again this summer. Even from the first application I noticed that it made my skin have a glowy straight away and when I use the Biolumin-C moisturiser I notice that my makeup sits really nicely on top of it. I do have really dry skin so I still pop a super hydrating serum underneath along side the Biolumin-C serum to really nourish and hydrate my skin during the colder months. I'm excited to see how glowy it makes my skin look this spring with continued use.

Have you tried the Dermalogica Biolumin-C range yet?
