A few weeks back, I got the chance to attend the relaunch event of the Liverpool One The Body Shop and let me tell you I was so happy to be able to attend an in-person event with all my favourite local bloggers, considering I've not caught up with everyone in just over two years, it couldn't have been a better event. For this event, the lovely folks at The Body Shop decided to to have people attend at different times throughout the day, I decided to go for the first thing 10am slot and it really was a lovely morning. There was maybe 30 bloggers there and a few members of the public and it was really nice cause you got to have plenty of room to socially distance.

So you may ask what they've actually done to the Liverpool One store during their 4 week renovation....

Well they've actually gone back to their roots to make positive changes in the world with their new concept store. It's not just your basic shop where you can stock up on some of your favourites like the Shea body butter and their incredible advent calendars, inside everything was stripped back and they made the decision to have everything in the store, reused and recycled right down to the displays that the products are on!

Right as you walk in the store, you're greeted with the new refill station and the huge copper sink topped with the spinning body butter tower where you can try out the products and actually be able to wash them off and you may also be able to get one of their amazing hand and arm massages. I am loving the refill station which has a limited range of body and hair products that you can refill in their silver pump bottles. When you purchase the refills, it is initially more expensive because you're paying for the bottle and pump but from then on it is actually cheaper than buying the usual bottles of your favourite products. One great touch to the refill centre is that you can actually personalise your refill bottle with some of the cute stickers that they have available.

One thing I love that The Body Shop in Liverpool One have done is actually incorporated nature into the store by having real plants and succulents dotted around the shop. Also in a very close second is the gift wrapping section at the back of the store near the till where they will gift wrap anything you buy with super cute wrapping paper and ribbon so literally all you need to do is add a gift label for your loved one and all that stressful wrapping is sorted! If you're looking to go buy presents and get them gift wrapped in the next couple of weeks, I'd highly recommend that you head there first thing when they open cause I can imagine that they'll be heaving with people wanting presents wrapped.

Have you checked out the new revamp yet?

Speak to you next time!

  1. Danielle, can I just say, you look beautiful in that first post picture! <3 Getting back to the blog this new year and finally catching back up with things. It's so lovely to see your post from the day! It was such a good event wasn't it? I really hope the Liverpool Body Shop do more events this year; they're always so good! It be lovely to go to more blogging events in general too and finally see everyone again after COVID, just like the good old blogging days! <3

Also Danielle, are you having trouble with Google comments and commenting on Blogger posts? I've been having a nightmare with it and not been able to leave comments on mine or other's blogs with Blogger on and off for a few months now and some of the other blogger's I speak to on twitter have been having the same issue too. I've been seriously contemplating moving to Wordpress and even though it has always seemed such a huge move to me. :'0

P.S I'm really sorry it's taken me a few weeks to try and upload this comment, trying again now. :( Blogger is not working for my comments!
