I can't believe that we're already at the end of 2021 and I'm writing my December Favourites, I feel like I was just making a list for gift ideas for my loved ones back in August/September time and I've blinked and it's Boxing Day! This month I've basically been working pretty much 24/7 so my favourites basically revolve around skincare and self care type items. Let's hope that January 2022 bring some other favourites into my life.

ARK Skincare Body Beautiful Body Lotion
I feel like this month, I have kind of neglected my body and basically showered and gotten ready for my day without nourishing my skin. Enter an old favourite of mine, the ARK Skincare Body Beautiful body lotion which has really made my skin look and feel amazing (even when I haven't been using it after every shower). This body lotion is filled with Shea Butter, Kukui nut, coconut oil, and vitamin B5 so it really helps to nourish your skin whilst also protecting and reinforcing the skin's natural moisture barrier. A little of this goes a long way and I feel like it's taken me absolutely ages to use even 1/3 of a bottle so whilst it is £30 for a 250ml bottle, I've honestly been surprised with how long it's lasted me.

ARK Skincare Age Defend Regenerating Night Treatment
I am quickly approaching my 30's (even if I say that these last two years don't count towards my age) so I've been adding in the ARK Skincare Age Defend Regenerating Night Treatment into my night time skincare routine and I've been impressed with how it's been tackling my dry, dehydrated skin whilst I slept. It's filled with Coenzyme Q10, Kiwi seed oil, Shea butter, Passionfruit seed oil, Vitamin A, Blue Lotus, and Persian Silk Tree Extract. All of which help to aid the repair of your skin whilst you sleep, soothe, moisturise, and combat signs of ageing and everyday stress. I've only been using this for half the month so I'm going to continue using it for a little while and then do a more in-depth review for you all.

Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Booster
I've struggled with maskne since being back at work and I've not found something that works as well as the Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing booster for any breakouts I get. I pop a little bit of this straight on my breakout following cleansing my skin and it's really helped me reduce the redness and irritation with my breakouts. I've had this little tube for a while and honestly it's lasted me ages and for £19 for a 30ml tube, this breakout clearing booster will be bought again and again when I run out. I'm even tempted to buy a second one to leave in my locker at work because I basically only wear skincare with a little bit of concealer, eyebrows and mascara for work, then I can pop some on whenever I get the first signs of a breakout.

Dermalogica Nightly Lip Treatment
I've always suffered with my lips being dry, especially in the Winter when the weather gets colder and no matter how much water I drink, it just doesn't seem to get any better which is why I live for lip treatments like the Nightly Lip Treatment that I can pop on overnight and let it tackle my dry lips whilst I sleep. This lip treatment from Dermalogica is anti-ageing and helps to reduce laugh/feather lines whilst also helping to hydrate and restore the skin around your lips. My Nightly Lip Treatment is the last step in my skincare routine, especially if I've been on back to back 13hr shifts cause it really helps to nourish my lips and rehydrate them. It is a little bit more on the pricier side at £45 but you only need a little bit to do both lips and it has a lovely metal applicator tip to allow you to give yourself a little massage as you apply it.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
I have been a huge fan of the Daily Microfoliant since I became a Dermalogica Skinfluencer and it still a monthly favourite of mine, especially in the Winter time as my skin becomes a lot more duller and drier. I mainly use the Daily Microfoliant on it's own after a double cleanse but if I'm in a rush you can also mix it into your cleanser and get all the best qualities of it without having to add an additional step into your skincare routine. One thing I love about the Daily Microfoliant is that Dermalogica now offer a refill option so you don't have to buy a whole new pot, you can simply buy the 74g refill pouch then simply pop the top off and pour it in. When I did a skincare consultation with the Dermalogica skin therapists, they recommended that when I mix it into a frothy paste and massage it into my skin that I also rub it over my lips to give my dry lips an exfoliation at the same time.

Antipodes Divine Face Oil
I tend to suffer with dry skin year round but I've found that during the Winter, it tends to hit me the hardest so having the Divine Face Oil in my skincare arsenal during the colder months really helps keep my dry skin in check. It's filled with avocado oil, pure rosehip, and macadamia oil to really help replenish dry, tired, and stressed skin whilst also helping to tackle fine lines. I love this scent of the Divine Face Oil, I find it to have such a calming, relaxing scent. I like to use this oil morning and night, especially if I'm in work as it really does nourish my skin. I love that Antipodes offer luxury skincare options that don't break the bank, this Divine Face Oil is only £23 for a 30ml bottle and even for my dry skin, a little of this goes a long way.

The Body Shop Camomile Eye Makeup Remover
I have really sensitive eyes and often find that most eye makeup remover will sting my eyes and make them all red and blood shot. Thankfully The Body Shop Camomile Eye Makeup Remover is gentle enough that even myself and my mum can use it without any irritation and after posting it on my Instagram account, it seems that a lot of people are in love with it too! I often opt for waterproof mascara especially if I'm in work and even after wearing it for 15hrs, this Camomile Eye Makeup Remover literally melts it off. After a really stressful day, I really like soaking some cotton wool pads in this makeup remover then popping them over my eyes and just popping a short podcast on to truly relax and de-stress from the day (that is something I've 100% picked up from Suzanne at LilSpa).

Bubble & Raar Wax Melts
I've been a big fan of Bubble & Raar wax melts since I found Dani on TikTok during the Autumn and I've quickly become obsessed. During December I've particularly been loving her Lavender & Neroli and Snow Fairy scents, they both leave my room smelling incredible for hours and the best part is that she sells the Snow Fairy wax melts year round. Bubble & Raar sell their wax melts for only £3 for 6 portion snap bar and I've found that with each section of the snap bar, I get 2-3 burns with each lasting several hours so they are so worth every penny you spend. This Christmas I even gifted several of my friends and family with wax melts from Bubble & Raar cause I've been loving them, Dani offers her wax melts in several forms, snap bars, festive shaped wax melts, wax drops, star/heart shaped wax melts.

IDentity Lingerie Japanese Silk Pyjamas
I was kindly gifted these Japanese Silk Pyjamas from IDentity Lingerie in the Autumn and this December I've really been loving them. I've particularly been loving wearing them on days when I'm having a bit of a pamper day/evening as they're so luxurious and so soft. I think I'm going to have to treat myself to a pair of the full length pyjamas cause I've been wearing my short version non-stop during December. I love that all of the IDentity Lingerie pyjamas are all ethically made and are handcrafted in Europe. As someone that's bigger chested, I went a size bigger than I usually wear because of the button up design and to be honest, I could have gotten away with my usual size. Even if you're not happy with standard sizing, IDentity Lingerie actually offer a custom sizing option and also a lifetime guarantee.

Inspired Stories 2022 Diary
I've used Inspired Stories diaries for the past few years after finding them on Instagram and honestly I couldn't go to any other diary. I love that the 2022 diaries are not only your standard weekly diary but you also get monthly planning, goal planning, and habit tracking. During December I used the standard weekly planner version but for 2022 I've made the switch to the ring binder diary with the weekly inserts. I love that I can keep tracking of my shifts and appointments in the monthly view but also on a week to week basis I can track important to-do's, habits, top goals for the week and also review how my week went at the end of it. These diaries are a bit more pricey at £45 for the ring binder or £33 for the standard lifestyle planner but I honestly think they're worth their weight in gold. I used to love Filofax's but the inserts never used to work for me so I'm so glad that Inspired Stories came out with their own version.

What have you been loving this month?

Speak to you next time!
