The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm Review

Danielle Levy, The Inkey List, Cleansing Balm, skincare blogger, beauty blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

I am all about the full coverage makeup so I'm always on the hunt for the perfect products for my cleansing routine that actually cleanse my skin and don't leave any makeup behind. For the past couple of weeks I've been testing out The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm and have been using it as the first step in my double cleanse and honestly I'm so impressed with it!

The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm is designed to be the first step in your morning or night cleansing routine whilst adding a bit of luxury to your skincare. It helps to gently dissolve your makeup, whilst also cleansing and nourishing your skin. It's filled with 3% oat kernel oil and 1% colloidal oatmeal that not only help to support your skin's moisture levels, smooths texture and reduce blackheads as well as reducing redness and soothing irritation. It's also for those out there with sensitive skin, I often get a lot of redness and temporary irritation from the rubbing when taking my makeup off and I've found that the Oat Cleansing Balm doesn't give me any irritation or stinging.

I've mainly been using the Oat Cleansing Balm as the first step in my double cleanse routine to take off my makeup, SPF and skincare from the day. I know that you can actually use it as a face cleanser or a mini nourishing face mask if you leave it on for 10 minutes. I massage this onto dry skin to break up my makeup before using warm water on my LilSpa Bare Face Sponges to take it off. It comes out like a thick balm but as soon as it touches your skin, it literally melts into an oil so it's perfect for melting your makeup off with excess rubbing and irritation.

Now I am someone who loves scented products purely because I find it makes me stick to consistently using them, rather than chopping and changing. To me it literally barely has a scent which makes it perfect for people with very sensitive skin as there's nothing in it to irritate your skin and anyone can use it so there's no excuse for you not to use this to double cleanse.

As always I think that The Inkey List is such a great budget skincare brand, this Oat Cleansing Balm is only £9.99 for 150ml bottle. You only need less than a 50p size piece to do a whole face full of full coverage makeup and waterproof mascara. I even used some micellar water on a cotton pad after using the Oat Cleansing Balm to check if it left any makeup behind in my pores and besides a little bit of foundation at my hairline where I hadn't pushed my headband back enough, my face was completely free of makeup!

Do you double cleanse?

Speak to you next time!
