Nakin Skincare | First Impressions

Danielle Levy, Nakin Skincare, skincare blogger, beauty blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

It's always a good day when I get the chance to try out a new skincare brand and share my first impressions on how I got on with it with you all. As we have all established I'm really bad for not using toner so I was really happy to open the lovely package from Nakin and discover that they'd kindly sent me their toner and eye cream to test out.

Nakin Skincare
Nakin are a British skincare brand that was founded in 2016 with a vision for everyone to achieve smooth, glowing skin naturally and at any age. They offer a range of skincare products that only use the best, high performing ingredients that are kind to even the most sensitive skin and are free from parabens, PEGs, artificial colour or fragrance. Their products are designed to offer a little bit of luxury into your daily routine, all made within the UK.

Purifying Facial Toner
The Purifying Facial Toner is designed to help cleanse as well helping to brighten and condition your skin ready for the rest of your skincare routine. It contains hyaluronic acid, witch hazel, aloe and seaweed extract to help you nourish and tone your skin whilst also cleansing and reducing inflammation. You get 150ml for £15 and I find that you only need a couple of drops onto a cotton pad to do your whole face and neck, I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and I've barely made a dent in it. I've been it morning and night after washing my face and I've found that it not only cleanses my skin and leaves it feeling plumper but it doesn't give me that dried out, tight feeling.

Eye Cream Complex
Since my teens I have suffered with fine lines and as I've gotten older I've started to get fine smile lines at the edge of my eyes (they're not crows feet, they're smile lines!) so I'm all about eye creams at the moment. The Eye Cream Complex is filled with hydrolysed hibiscus extract, hyaluronic acid, pomegranate, green tea extract, and caffeine which helps to soften fine lines, hydrate the eye area and de-puff it. It is £18 for a 15ml jar and I find that a little goes a long way. I pop a little bit under my eye then use the smaller side of a chilled jade roller to massage it in which helps with the puffiness I particularly get in the morning. To me this one doesn't really have too much of a scent and is more of a cream texture which seem to work best for me. This melts into my skin and instantly leaves it feeling softer without any greasiness meaning that my makeup sits really nicely over the top without any creasing or clinging to dry patches.

Overall I'm so far been impressed with the Nakin products I've tried so far, I've got their lip balm next on my list to try out. I love that Nakin also allow customers to give back to the environment by allowing people to plant a tree with every purchase made.

Have you tried Nakin skincare yet?

Speak to you next time!
