Choosing Handmade Soy Candles | To The Moon

Danielle Levy, To The Moon, Handmade Soy Candles, lifestyle blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

Since the beginning of Autumn last year I've really gotten into candles and home fragrances from an amazing local brand To The Moon and I honestly don't think I could go back to another home fragrance, the quality of her products and the scents have truly spoilt me! I thought I would share with you all some more about To The Moon home fragrances and some of my favourite picks from them.

To The Moon
To The Moon is a wonderful Liverpool-based company created by Jess last year, she literally makes some of the best home fragrances that I've ever tried (believe me I've tried quite a lot of different brands!). All of her home fragrances are hand poured in Liverpool and there is so much time and dedication that goes into every product that Jess creates. All of her products are also made to be vegan, toxin-free and cruelty-free so you can really trust the product that you are putting into your home. To The Moon has a range of set scents in her candles, moon melts and reed diffusers that are there for you all year round, she also offers seasonal exclusives and at certain times throughout the year Jess even opens her books to offer Bespoke candles which can be your favourite To The Moon scent in the most beautiful candle jars that I have ever seen (honestly go check out the Bespoke candles on her Instagram page!).

To The Moon have recently decided to start working with Ecologi in order to become a carbon neutral business (I mean could To The Moon get any better?!). For every order you place with them, a tree is planted to take us one step closer to tackling the climate crisis, you can even go and see the To The Moon forest growing every month so you can really see that you're are making a difference!

My Favourites
Now I have been using To The Moon home fragrances since late summer last year and I've used one of each of the different products that she offers and I'm so excited to share my thoughts and favourites with you. All of the To The Moon orders come safely packaged in individual linen drawstring bags with care cards so you know exactly how to use your products to get the best out of them, all of the scents are also in the most beautiful sleek glass jars with little hints of silver so they are guaranteed to match any home interior you have.

Reed Diffusers ~ I purchased my first To The Moon reed diffuser back in September/October time and I am not kidding when I say that I am barely halfway through this diffuser and I flip my reeds every 1-2 weeks!! I have NEVER had a reed diffuser that has 1 - lasted this long and 2 - even if I forget to flip the reeds on a regular basis the scent still lingers at a slightly subdued version. Each diffuser comes with 200ml for only £25 which is double the amount you would get in a standard diffuser.

Candles ~ The Berry Crumble candle was the first thing I'd ever tried from To The Moon and the first thing that started the addiction! All the candles are £20 and these smell incredible without you even having to light them, I literally had the Berry Crumble one out for 2 days before I lit it and my entire bedroom smelt incredible for that entire time! Each candle comes in a beautiful jar with classic white and silver labels. I usually burn them for a couple of hours before blowing it out (let it burn until the whole top layer is melted) and once extinguished the scent lingers throughout the room and into the hall. My favourite scents have definitely got to be Snuggle Up, Peppermint Grove and the new scent After Dark, they are all so uniquely delicious and unlike anything I have smelt so far. One thing that has impressed me with the To The Moon candles is that there is no soot, blackening of the jar or soot marks on wallpaper/paint, you don't have to worry about any toxins being in your home.

Moon Melts ~ All of your favourite year-round scents are included in Moon Melt form and my personal favourite way to use them is to use an electric wax melter cause I can put it on for say 20 minutes whilst I'm in my bedroom doing my skincare and getting ready and I will literally be able to smell it for the rest of the day even though the melter is turned off! One thing I've noticed with Moon Melts compared to other wax melts that you can purchase is that usually with other brands when you go to re-melt the wax, the scent just isn't really that great and you can barely smell it. However with the Moon Melts you get the same amazing hit of fragrance every single time, whether it's you're first time or 5th time melting it! You get 20 of these 100% natural soy wax bad boys in a linen sack for £10.

What's your favourite candle scent?

Speak to you next time!
