Review | IDentity Lingerie

Danielle Levy, IDentity Lingerie, mid-size fashion blogger, mid-size fashion, fashion blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

There is never a wrong time in your life to treat yourself to some silk pjs and cute lingerie, you also get bonus points if you get them from an independent business. Now I am a bigger busted mid-size gal and as any of my bigger busted girls will tell you that it's so hard to find clothes that fit your bust as well as the rest of you and you can just kiss goodbye to button up pjs cause you wake up with at least the top three buttons undone and everything out on display. After years of searching, I've managed to find IDentity Lingerie who not only offer standard sizing up to a XXL but they also offer CUSTOM SIZING!! Perfect for someone like me that is five foot nothing with big boobs and big hips.

Review | Belly Dog - All Natural Products For Dogs

Danielle Levy, BellyDog, Natural dog care products, lifestyle blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

Anyone else got a pandemic pup? Rosie is a next level pampered pooch, she just loves to be fussed over but she is the biggest drama queen with home grooming but will be a complete angel if I take her to the groomers. The only thing she'll let me do and enjoys is me brushing her ears and that is purely because I've played with her ears when she's been curled up on me since she was a puppy. Thankfully I found Belly Dog an all natural dog product company that Rosie will actually let me use on her!

So let's just get on with the beauty and life things that I've been loving during September.

I think we're all aware now that I'm a pretty well established skincare addict but one thing I've not tried is skincare in ampoules, now I am used to cracking little medication ampoules so I can't look at these serum ampoules from Arcaya without thinking of work but I do really love this unique way of packaging a skincare product. Taking Care Of My Feet | Flexitol

I can easily spend 13 hours on my feet when I'm on my shift running around getting all my jobs done and looking after my patients in Critical Care. I honestly think I am honestly the worst when it comes to taking proper care of my feet, it's always the step in my self care routine that I tend to skip over. I think it might be due to the fact that I hate when you apply foot care products and you literally can't move otherwise you'd be slipping and sliding around the place. Thankfully Flexitol have completely changed my views on foot care products so I thought I'd share my experiences with you all.

The Importance of SPF | Dermalogica X Skcin

I recently got the chance to attend the Dermalogica X Skcin masterclass talking all about SPF, some of the myths around taking care of your skin in the sun, and how to protect yourself from skin cancer so I thought now is as good a time as ever to reinforce the importance of wearing SPF everyday and wearing it correctly.

Switching To Bikini Waxing

Danielle Levy, Bikini Waxing, Lilspa, beauty blogger, Liverpool blogger, Wirral blogger,

Before Christmas I decided to make the switch to bikini waxing cause I absolutely hate the itchiness from regrowth that comes with shaving and I've also found that as my back pain has gotten worse it's gotten harder and taken me longer than normal to shave so I decided to make the switch. I thought I would share my experience with you all and some tips and tricks I used.

For my waxing, I went to the wonderful Suzanne from LilSpa and before I'd been to her, I've been weighed out waxing for like a whole month beforehand because I'd truly seen some horror stories and heard about people saying how painful it is and although I am a chronic pain warrior and can manage at a standard level of pain everyday, something like acute pain from a wax makes me so nervous. When I booked my appointment with the lovely Suzanne, I told her that this was my first bikini wax and she was able to reassure me of what it would be like and the process. So I decided to go for the Brazilian bikini wax which is a little strip of hair left, although Suzanne does also offer basic bikini and the Hollywood depending on what look you prefer.

I thought I would share some tips I picked up about those that might worry about switching to waxing:

  • If you're worried about pain, take an ibuprofen 20-30 minutes before your appointment.
  • Grow out your hair, you can't have really short hair and expect to be able to get a clean wax. If you've got nothing there, you can't wax it. Suzanne advised me to have around 1.5cms length to get the best result.
  • Don't work out immediately after your wax, you have no hair there to absorb the sweat and be a buffer for the friction so you will get irritation.
  • Wear something comfortable to your appointment, my skin was a little bit tender initially after the appointment so I went for my comfy underwear and joggers because I knew that they wouldn't put to much pressure on the area. By the time I drove home, it was completely fine, no tenderness or irritation.
  • Don't soak in a bath with fragranced products the day of, that again will irritate your skin.
I have pretty fine hair but I found that compared to shaving, the hair has grown back a lot softer and finer so I imagine that with more frequent sessions it would help the hair growth in that area and it's made me start thinking about waxing my legs and underarms now. I exfoliated the area that the night before so the skin wasn't too irritated the morning of and then left the exfoliation for a week or two afterwards so that I didn't irritate the skin. After having it done, I honestly think it actually hurts more having my eyebrows waxed! Now I don't know average prices for bikini waxes by me but Suzanne offers the Brazilian service for only £2o which I thought seemed like a great price.

Are you a fan of bikini waxing?

Speak to you next time!
