Festive Makeup With No7

Whilst Christmas parties are going to be a lot different this year, it doesn't mean we can't enjoy all the sparkly, festive makeup this month. For the past couple of weeks I've been playing about with some makeup bits from No7 and decided to come up with a little festive makeup look of my own, whether you are just hanging with family this Christmas or having a Zoom Christmas party!

Now I love No7 skincare, I'm pretty new to the makeup side of the brand so I was really excited to start testing it out and creating a makeup look whilst also doing a little bit of a comparison to some of the other makeup in my collection. Over the next couple of months I'm definitely going to be delving into more No7 makeup because I've loved testing out these couple of bits.

I've been testing out the Custom Blend Highlighting Drops both has a highlighter but also mixing into my moisturiser and my foundation as a way to get beautiful glowing skin during this dreary Winter weather. I don't usually use cream or liquid highlighters because I powder down my foundation as I usually end up smudging my base cause I'm constantly touching my face but I did try a small bit on top of my powder and I found that it gave me a beautiful glow without clumping up my base products. A little of this goes a very long way, I found that only two small dots was more than enough for both cheeks and my nose. I also added in the Custom Blend Highlighting Drops to my moisturiser on my no-makeup days by adding two drops into my moisturiser and it gives my skin beautiful glowing skin!

I've used the Yellow Brick Road highlighting palette as both a highlighter and combined with the Stay Perfect Nude Eyeshadow Palette, it creates a beautiful nude smokey eye with a hint of sparkle because if you can't wear sparkle at Christmas, when can you?! I've mostly been using the pink and white highlighters on my cheeks and the down the high points of my nose, then I've been using the more bronzy colours as eyeshadows and they work brilliantly as both so the palette is perfect for taking away with you. Now I'm awful at applying false lashes (I really need to practice more!) so to finish off my eye look I used the Lash Impact Primer and the Full 360 mascara to tame my fine, straight lashes to get them looking thicker and fuller. I am completely new at using a lash primer and was initially a bit hesitant because I worried about it giving me spider lashes but I was pleasantly surprised that it just helped to curl my lashes and keep them curled. I also didn't realise that the Lash Impact Primer can also be used on top of mascara that aren't waterproof to make them water-proof and smudge-proof.

Lastly I kept my lips pretty neutral and low-key because I am awful sometimes at reapplying lip products so I decided to go for a quick and easy swipe of the Highshine Lipgloss in Pink Latte. It gave me a subtle hint of nudey pink with a hint of bronze that left my lips feeling super soft and I also found that it didn't come off on every drink I had which is a big bug bear of mine so I was really glad about the longevity of it.

Are you all about the sparkly makeup during the holidays?
