Keeping My Skin Hydrated & Glowing With The No7 Hydraluminous Range

I don't know about anyone else but with the start of the cold Winter weather, my skin has become so dry and dull. I think it's a combination of both the cold weather but also having the heating on more has completely dried out the skin on my face and body and has left it looking as dull as when I'm sick. For the past couple of week I've been switching out some of the products in my usual skincare routine for some of the No7 Hydraluminous goodies I was recently sent.

No7 is an iconic brand that's been around since 1935 with it's aim of helping women to look and feel their best every day. Their ethos is that when a woman feels her skin is at it's best and her makeup is just right, she has the energy and confidence to take on anything. Over the years their products have evolved to reflect the time and needs of women's skin, the 60's was the decade of colour and focused on makeup in an amazing range of shades and the 70's focused on more natural ingredients with a return to more apothecary style skincare routine.

Hydraluminous Range
For the past couple of weeks I've been switching out my usual skincare products for some of the Hydraluminous range I was kindly sent by No7. The Hydraluminous range is a hydrating regime that is designed to leave your skin looking visibly fresh and hydrated. Instead of my usual products, I've been trying out the Water Surge Gel cream, Overnight Recovery Gel cream, Water Concentrate and the new Eye Hydrator

The Eye Hydrator is the newest addition to the Hydraluminous range which is designed to visibly awaken tired looking eyes and instantly hydrate the skin around your eyes. It contains the wonder product hyaluronic acid and is formulated to bind water to the skin to instantly restore moisture and provide all day hydration to your eye area. It comes in a 12ml pot for only £12.00 (No7 is often on offer or 3 for 2 so keep your eyes out if you're interested in trying it out) but you only need a small dot of product for each eye so I can see this small pot going a long way, even if you use it morning and night as suggested. It does have an ever so slight blue tint but as soon as you gently massage it into your skin, it becomes colourless. I've been using it morning and night and find it instantly cooling on the skin (even more so if you leave it in the fridge) and it also helped with puffy under eyes I sometimes get in the morning. It melts effortlessly into my skin and leaves my under eyes feeling soft and hydrated.

Instead of my different morning and night serums, I've been switching in the Water Concentrate serum and my skin has been absolutely loving it. The serum is initially more of a thicker serum but once applied to the skin, it melts into to a thin water-like consistency. It's designed to be a fresh, waterlight concentrate that provides a burst of supercharged liquid hydration, powered by pure hyaluronic acid leaving your skin smooth and feeling super soft. Because this serum starts off on the thicker side and melts away into a more watery consistency, a little of this goes a very long way. I only tend to use a couple of drops for my whole face and neck, so you are definitely getting more bang for your buck.

Now I am completely new to a gel moisturisers so I was really looking forward to trying out the Water Surge Gel cream and the Overnight Recovery Gel cream. The Water Surge Gel cream comes in two formulas, one for drier skin and an oil free version so even if your skin is more on the oily side there is still a moisturiser to keep your skin hydrated and glowing. Both the day and night cream come in a 50ml jar for £14.00. Sometimes I find that if I'm having a skincare only day, not all of the moisturiser sinks in so if I touch my face, the left over skincare products pills up. Thankfully with the Hydraluminous day and night cream, even if I apply a decent layer on my skin, I find that these don't do that. My face simply feels soft and hydrated all day without excess product sitting on top of my skin.
