Trying Out Wellness Lab For The First Time

Danielle Levy, Wellness Lab, food blogger, beauty blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

During shielding I attempted to make healthy changes to my diet but since going back to work, I let my healthy ways slip due to time restraints, work and tiredness but it's time to bring those healthy changes back and make them permanent. For the past couple of weeks I've been testing out the Cocoa Vanilla powder from Wellness Lab and adding it into my diet and I thought I would share with you all how I got on with it.

Wellness Lab
Wellness Lab was founded by the lovely Elin after she started putting marine collagen into her coffee in 2016 to help with joint pain. She tested out a bunch of different collagen but wanted one that was quick and easy to dissolve and she could drink in her morning coffee. After seeing the benefits marine collagen had first hand as well as seeing the science behind it and the clinical trials conducted on it, she founded Wellness Lab. The team at Wellness Lab know that good joints, guts and skin starts from within and they are on a mission to make nutritious, colour popping food for everyone.

My Experiences
The lovely folks at Wellness Lab sent me across some of the Cocoa Vanilla powder to test out and try out in drinks and cooking. I've been trying it out as a milkshake like Wellness Lab recommend but also using it as flavouring in cooking and in my smoothies and I've been loving it.

My top two favourite ways to use it have been adding in into my smoothies and using it when I make pancakes. I've been really bad with having breakfast at the moment so instead of waking up and having a meal I've been trying to incorporate having a smoothie every morning filled with fruits and veggies to give me added nutrients in a quick and easy way so I've been adding a teaspoon or two of the Cocoa Vanilla in and it makes it taste like sweet chocolate. If you're not a fan of the taste of veggies in your smoothies, this helps mask that taste and gives it a really sweet chocolate taste instead. When I've got a bit more time I've been using the Cocoa Vanilla powder to flavour pancakes or waffles. I love using it to make chocolate pancakes topped with berries and maple syrup.

I've loved testing out the Cocoa Vanilla and I'm excited to try more of their products including the Marine Collagen powder. I love that the powder mixes so easily and can be used in so many different ways so you really get your bang for your buck cause you can easily add it into any of your food or drinks. I do want to try out making the avocado brownie recipe they have on their website cause they look so good!

Have you tried anything like this?

Speak to you next time!
