Review: Shea Moisture Daily Hydration Bodycare

Is anyone else's skin starting to suffer from too much sun and not drinking anywhere near as much water as they should?! For the past couple of weeks I've subbed out my usual body care products to test out the Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration body wash and body lotion to see if they can save my skin during lock down.

Shea Moisture
Shea Moisture all comes back to one amazing woman Sofi Tucker in 1912 who started selling Shea Nuts at a village market in Sierra Leone which then transformed to her selling Shea Butter, African Black Soap and homemade hair and skin preparations by the time she was 19. Shea Moisture is her legacy! They stand out in the beauty industry by striving to provide safe and uncompromising beauty products whilst ensuring that they leave out harmful ingredients such parabens, mineral oil, petroleum, phthalates, and formaldehyde from all their products.

For the past couple of weeks I've been trying out the 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration body wash and body lotion to try and save my poor dry, dehydrated skin. Lately, my skin has definitely been suffering from me not drinking enough water, sitting out in the sun WAY more than I usually do (I'm pretty much a vampire!), and my poor wrecked hands from all the washing and hand sanitiser (lets face it they were wrecked well before the quarantine happened) and my usual products are just not cutting it so this review couldn't have come at a better time.

I tend to suffer with drier skin mainly on my arms and hands as well as on my legs and feet so I was excited to see that the 100% Virgin Coconut Oil range is designed to soften and restore skin using coconut oil and coconut milk blend to help condition your skin for smoother and softer skin as well as containing organic raw Shea butter which helps to deeply moisturise your skin and Acacia Senegal which helps to seal in the moisture in your skin so it helps to gently cleanse your skin whilst locking in the moisture.

Now this has been my first time trying out Shea Moisture products but I have heard people raving about their products and after trying out some of their body care products, I'm excited to get my hands on their hair care to try out on my hair. With all this sunny weather we've been having at the moment, many of us are looking forward to the moment we can finally go on holiday and for me scents like coconut and pineapple bring back memories of being on holiday and the Daily Hydration range has that tropical coconut scent so its perfect for using whilst we're all dreaming of our next holiday.

Lately I've noticed that once I've showered or had a bath, I tend to end up with visibly dry patches on my forearms and legs if I forget to moisture. I've noticed that from the first couple of times since I started using the Daily Hydration shower gel that my skin feels noticeably softer and the dry patches I tend to get have improved significantly. I'm a big fan of having bubble baths so I've been loving adding a capful of the body wash into my bath for added bubbles that has also helped to leave my skin super soft. Once out of the shower I followed up with the Daily Hydration body lotion which I'm not normally a fan of body lotion as I think they don't normally work for my drier skin but boy I couldn't be more wrong about this one. It's more of a thicker body lotion that just melts into your skin so there's none of that waiting around to dry so you can get dressed straight away and it leaves my skin so silky soft all day!

I've loved trying out the Daily Hydration range and am definitely going to be picking up some of their hair care range come payday so be sure to tell me your must-haves that I need to try.
