Pampering Myself At LILSPA

Danielle Levy, LILSPA, Wirral salon, Wirral spa, beauty blogger, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

As you may be able to tell by now I'm trying to spread out the content from everything I got the chance to do before everything went into lock down. Now I am most definitely in the group of people that loves going for a pamper and whilst I love having my nails done I don't get them done anywhere as often as I'd like to so you know that having some annual leave meant only one thing......getting my nails done & pampering myself!

LILSPA
LILSPA is an amazing Wirral based spa that offers everything from massages and facials to dermarolling and waxing and is owned by Suzanne who's worked in the beauty, spa and aesthetics industry for years before starting LILSPA. She's worked for over 10 years with some amazing companies throughout Europe including working in Rodney Street and being spa manager for two 5 star hotels. With a reputation like that, you know that you're in great hands and will be well taken care of.

Now whilst I love living on the Wirral, its literally taken me years to find anywhere to get beauty treatments that don't take a million years to get to or I'm constantly paying for parking so when I found out that Suzanne and LILSPA were less than a 10 minute drive away from me, guess who found their new favourite place?! Suzanne kindly invited me in to have my nails done and try out one of her massages and I almost bit her hand off at the offer cause boy did I need a good back massage! When I arrived I discovered that Suzanne works out of her house and has transformed an extension into her own treatment room which is amazing for her as a working mum but I couldn't believe it was just me and Suzanne, the treatment room was so peaceful and relaxing. It was so lovely to be in such a calming environment.

So once I'd gotten over how peaceful it was, Suzanne kindly got me a coffee and some water before we got started on my nails. I've never found someone that it was so easy to talk to, now I know I'm a nurse so I talk to strangers every shift so I should find it so easy making conversation with people right?! But I'm a huge introvert and I hate making small talk so I was shocked at how easy it was to talk to Suzanne and we were chatting about everything and anything well into the massage. For my nails we ended up deciding to go for a really pretty baby pink and whilst I was tempted to add a bit of glitter onto it but we decided to go for a pretty natural look. I can't wait to go back once lock down is over to get a gel pedicure cause I'm determined that if I can't have a job that lets me have pretty nails then I'm gonna have pretty toes instead!

I've had a bad back and I get a lot of massages including sports massages to help with the muscular pain that I get as a result of my back pain and believe me it is so hard to find someone who will actually give me the pressure I want/need from a back massage and Suzanne got it spot on straight away. I personally think that Suzanne is seriously undercharging for her massages as her back massage was a class above any other massage I've had and I've paid some serious money for other massages. Everything from the heated bed and the gentle introduction to her touch to really getting in there where I had muscle pain, all for only £30 is insanely good. Now I like fairly firm pressure massages on an already sore, stiff area so whilst I'd love to say that it wasn't painful because like if you pressed on a broken bone it's going to be painful, it was slightly painful in certain places but I'm now fairly used to the tenderness that it weirdly was still relaxing and whilst I was tender for the next two days, boy did I notice a difference on how my back felt on day 3.

I couldn't recommend visiting LILSPA more, I know that I'll be purchasing some gift vouchers come payday so I can go back when this whole lock down is lifted. It's my new go-to place for any beauty treatments! If you'd love to visit LILSPA after lock down, you can show your support and buy one of her gift vouchers which you can use any time within 12 months of purchase so you go give yourself a much needed pamper when this is all over.

Are you all about getting your nails done or are you more of a massage girl?

Speak to you next time!
