Transforming My Hair With Nanogen

As you are all able to see by now I have light blonde highlighted hair and with that lighter hair I've noticed that over the past couple of years my hair has begun to thin out and I can see my scalp more easily and whilst I'm trying not to stress about it (cause that can make it worse) and I've been trying out some products from Nanogen for the past month that helps to make my hair feel fuller and make it so that my scalp is not as visible.

Since I was a teenager, I've always had my hair in a side part and for 80% of the time I've had a side fringe. Now I've heard that having your hair parted the same way all the time can cause thinning around the part area but unfortunately I've increasingly become aware of thinning of the hair on top of head. I've even got so far as check in with my GP to ensure there's no deficiencies or anything that could have been caused my hair to thin. So whilst I am slowly trying to improve my awful diet to see if that helps I've also been trying to use products especially designed for thinning and weak hair to help strengthen it and make it look/feel fuller.

Nanogen
Nanogen has been around since 2001 and was designed to empower people to change the way that we think about thinning hair as well as being designed to be a range of unisex products so anyone can use them. So for the past few months I've been testing out three of their products, the Keratin Hair Fibres, the Hair Hydrator, and the Root Boosting Hair Thickening Spray

The first product I tested out was the Root Boosting spray which is supposed to give you that salon worthy blow dry that adds thickness and volume to your hair at home. It's filled with loads of hair loving ingredients to keep your hair in tip top shape, it has niacinamide and green tea which help to soothe your scalp and provide protection from free radical damage, and Pro vitamin B5 which helps to attract water molecules into the follicles to increase hydration in the hair follicle to make your hair look shinier and more moisturised with less static and flyaways. I've been applying it every time I wash my hair, I simply gently towel dry my hair after the shower and brush it into the style I want then spritz it in and brush through with a soft brush. Depending on how I'm feeling I'll either leave it to air dry or blow dry it and I'm so impressed with how it looks either way and I'm really impressed with how it looks even when I've left it to air dry. My hair is left feeling so soft and even when left to air dry I notice that my roots especially on the top of my head appear more lifted.

The problem with having finer hair is that I have to be really careful about what products I put into my hair as I can find that they can weight my hair down, despite all the effort I put into getting volume into the roots so I've been trying out the Hair Hydrator which perfectly as a post wash serum that helps to keep my hair feeling light, super soft and leaves the ends of my hair feeling thicker. It's filled with hyaluronic acid, vitamin B5 and glycerin to help hydrate the hair follicles and scalp whilst the green tea extract helps to protect your hair and scalp from free radical damage. It is also designed to work alongside their Keratin Hair Fibres as a base for the hair fibres.

Now I've only tried the Keratin Hair Fibres a handful of times as it's still a product that is new to me so I'm still getting used to it. It's designed to help to achieve instantly thicker and fuller looking hair and allows you to style your hair whichever way you want without having to worry about thinner patches in your hair. It can be used to help cover up thinner patches around your hairline or where you part your hair. I'm still getting used to using it but I've been mainly using it around my crown and a little bit on the top of my head where I get a bit of thinning and so far I'm impressed with how it looks. I don't go overboard and use thinner layers and it gives me a really natural application that you don't even notice.

I'm really impressed with what I've tried from Nanogen so far and I'm looking into picking up more of their hair care as their products really work well with my hair. My favourites out of what I've tried so far has got to be the thickening spray with the hair hydrator coming in a close second as they work perfectly in my current hair care routine and are so easy and simple to use.
