Wedding At The Merseyside Maritime Museum | Being A Bridesmaid

A few months back, my mum kindly asked me to be a part of her wedding party in 2021 and be one of her bridesmaids. Over the next year, I wanted to start including more wedding related blog posts as let's face it's going to be while before I feature any more wedding content because I'm not going to be getting married for a while so there's not really going to be any more wedding content once this wedding is done next year! The other week, myself and my mum were invited along to the wedding fair the Merseyside Maritime Museum to see the venue and what they had to offer for your special day.

We have just over a year till my mum's wedding and she hasn't exactly been the most prepared, shes basically decided and booked the church she wants the ceremony in and has thought about the theme she wants for the wedding but that is as far as she's gotten with planning it out so we were both excited to be able to head along to the wedding fair at the Merseyside Maritime Museum to see how they can transform the place into a venue for a wedding and/or reception.

The space available in the Merseyside Maritime Museum for ceremonies and receptions is incredibly beautiful and is located on the top floor so you get a beautiful view of the docks. They had the venue set up so the rooms were separated into a ceremony venue and reception with the first room as you walk in being set up for the ceremony. The ceremony set up was beautifully dressed by KRN Events with white dressed chairs, a white rose flower arch and a sparkly aisle. The dressing of the room alongside the industrial style brick walls looked stunning, it'd also look gorgeous in pictures.

The second half of the floor was set up for an evening reception, the lovely people at KRN Events had set up several different tables so we could get an idea of the different styles and designs they could create so you can have the reception that is perfect for you and your wedding. I know my mum fell in love with glitter top tables and I loved the centerpieces that had a floating candles designs hanging from them. As well as having the main guest tables set up they also had the designed the head table and dance floor, both of which had gorgeous faux cherry blossom trees in different colours framing them. They had also set up a bigger version of the sparkling dance floor and they were also able to show us some pictures of how the dance floor photographs with wedding dresses on top and we both fell in love with it, they looked incredible in the photos as you could see the sparkling lights shining up through the skirts of the dress.

My mum has always said that she's really interested in having a sweet cart at her evening reception and she spotted one on the KRN Events promotional images so I think we know where she'll be getting it from. It was such an amazing event, the Merseyside Maritime Museum looks beautiful inside and it was so lovely to head along to a wedding fair for the first time. Not only can you get married at the Merseyside Maritime Museum, you also have the option to get married at the beautiful Lady Lever art gallery in Port Sunlight.
