Birchbox January Edition

Danielle Levy, Birchbox, January Birchbox, Rochelle Humes, Wirral blogger, Liverpool blogger,

It's a bit late in the month for me to be talking about my January Birchbox but it's a fabulous box so I really wanted to feature this month's box in a blog post. What more could you want than a box full of beauty products that are designed to give you beautiful, glowing skin in this gloomy weather we're having at the minute.

For this month's Birchbox, they've collaborated with Rochelle Humes who has designed this month's box to celebrate you and the skin you're in as well as discovering some amazing new beauty products. I was most excited for this month's box when I spotted that it had a Jade Roller in it as I've been toying with getting one for ages. I also really like that on the card that's included in the box, they've put Rochelle's take on specific products.

First up is The Beauty Crop Glow Milk in pear pressure which came in a super cute little milk carton box. Pear pressure is a really pretty gold highlighter that blends down to give your skin a really nice highlight that catches the light perfectly. It is filled with coconut and argan oils so the formula is really hydrating whilst leaving a lovely glow to the skin. I normally stick to powder highlighters cause I put highlighter on after I've powdered my face but I might use this one to mix in with moisturiser for glowing skin or just pop a little bit on when I've only skincare on to give me a glowing look.

I suffer from such dry skin, not just on my face but on my body as well so I'm always on the hunt for the best body lotions that work for me. The Greenfrog Botanic Argan Oil body lotion is filled with argan oil and glycerin to hydrate and nourish dry skin whilst leaving you smelling incredible. I am used to thicker body butters so this lotion is a lot more runny than I'm used to but a little goes a long way and it just melts into your skin. I can't put my finger on it but the lotion reminds me of something but it smells amazing and the scent isn't completely over the top so it won't interfere with any perfume you want to wear.

I was most excited to see this Jade Roller from Melusine Paris in this month's box, I've been after a jade roller to incorporate into my skincare routine particularly for using with my serums/facial oils. I love how compact this jade roller is so it's perfect for using at home but then you can also take it with you if you go away travelling and still have amazing skin. I love that without even putting it in the fridge, it's super cool on your skin so it's perfect for those puffy skin mornings that we all get at some point! I can quickly see this becoming a favourite part of my skincare routine.

Lastly are a couple of conditioner and facial scrub samples. I've tried a couple of the Philip Kingsley products before and after highlighting my hair for years, I'm a big fan of anything that is going to help keep my hair hydrated. The Moisture Balancing conditioner is supposed to give you long-lasting hydration whilst keeping it tangle-free. We also got a sample of the Sebamed Gentle scrub which is supposed to gently exfoliate in a soap-free formula helps to give you a healthy and fresh complexion. I am pretty set with my exfoliator that I have from Dermalogica as it works perfectly for my skin so this one will probably go to my mum to test out.
