Trying Out The Clarins Skin Spa Chester

Christmas is just around the corner and it's often a time that people forget about looking after themselves whilst they're busy treating other people and getting ready for Christmas. I know myself I don't take enough time out to just enjoy the festive season and I've definitely been physically and mentally feeling it! Luckily the lovely girls over the Clarins Chester just knew and invited me along to my local Skin Spa in Debenhams Chester to come and have a facial and check out the Christmas launches.

Clarins have loads of choice when it comes to treating yourself, some counters have the beauty bars where you can get quick, express treatments that take just 30 minutes and cost only £25 and some counters have Skin Spa's attached to them where you get your own room for a little bit of bliss and calm away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping outside. The treatments in the Skin Spa start from 45 minutes and go up to an hour and 45 minutes. The treatments are not just a facial, all of their Skin Spa treatments incorporate the power of touch into their treatments which uses skilful massage and essential oils to truly relax you and give you a blissful sensory experience.

I got the chance to try out one of their facials with the incorporated hand, arm and foot massage and honestly I loved it. I had the wonderful Georgie doing my facial and she was so lovely, she talked through what my skin concerns were and how I felt my skin was at the moment. She then had a feel of my skin and was able to see how hydrated my skin was and the elasticity of my skin before she decided on the products she was going to use. My skin is usually dry combination skin with round the bottom of my nose and my chin getting a bit oily towards the end of the day but I've noticed at the minute with the changing of the weather and the dry air at work that my skin has felt so much drier.

When you visit the Skin Spa, you have your own individual room with a super cosy treatment bed draped in loads of towels as well as a shower/changing room at the back. As you walk in the rooms are dimly light and calm music plays quietly in the background to get you nice and relaxed before your treatment.

After cleansing and exfoliating my skin, Georgie used the amazing SOS face masks to give my skin a boost of moisture. She used the Hydra mask all over my face to help target my dehydrated skin whilst adding the Pure mask on my spotty areas and around my nose to help with oiliness and spots. The face massage with the Lotus facial oil was one of the best bits (I can't be the only one that loves a face/body massage, especially when the products smell amazing!), the facial oils can be used on their own or added into your moisturisers and help to purify the skin whilst helping to prevent moisture loss and help to keep your skin hydrated. To finish off my skin, she used the Hydra-Essentiel silky cream moisturiser which helps to keep my skin intensely hydrated whilst helping it feel plumped and protected.

I loved spending time at the Skin Spa that I'm actually going back to treat myself and my mum to a spa treatment voucher for our birthday's in January. The best part is that if you get someone a gift voucher for a treatment, you can either choose a specific treatment or you can buy them a voucher to a certain value so they can choose their exact treatment and the vouchers last a whole year so they can use it at any time. Before I left I got the chance to check out some of the great Christmas gifts that Clarins have got on offer this year, including a gift set with a full-size Double Serum with extras and a cute little makeup bag all for the same price as the Double Serum on its own! I would highly recommend checking out their gifts this year if you want to treat someone you love or even yourself.

Are you a fan of Clarins?

Speak to you next time!
