Sleep Eat Love | Liverpool's First Posh'tel

The week before last I was kindly invited along to a morning at Love Thy Neighbour to check out the new Sleep Eat Love, a luxury hostel that's opened a stone's throw away from Moorfields station. For those of you that might not know, I grew up in a single-parent household with two brothers (so you can imagine how much the food bill cost) so I have spent many a holiday in a private family hostel room in various places around the UK so I was really excited to head down to Sleep Eat Love to get behind the scenes and check it out.

After seven straight nights shift (yes you read that read), I headed along on quite the cold morning to Love Thy Neighbour for a lovely morning of yoga, brunch and a tour round Sleep Eat Love. I don't know about you but when Love Thy Neighbour disappeared from the top of Bold Street and Slim's appeared in its place, I thought it was gone for good but thankfully it's just relocated a short walk away from Moorfields train station so it's perfectly located for a breakfast date before a day of Christmas shopping in the city centre!

I was welcomed into Love Thy Neighbour with an energy booster smoothie which was the perfect way to perk us up and get us ready for some yoga. Whilst I was enjoying my smoothie, I got the chance to look around the new Love Thy Neighbour and talk to the teams behind Sleep Eat Love and 3D Fitness and find out a little bit more about them. Once we'd finished our smoothies and had a good chat, it was time to place our brunch orders and go do some yoga. 3D Fitness is located below Love Thy Neighbour and Sleep Eat Love and is all about doing things differently and helping everyone to become healthier and happier in life, they strive to help improve your quality of life. I got the chance to meet Saeed who took us down for a short yoga session that he was able to tailor just for me to prevent me further injuring my already bad back which was amazing and I was so chilled at the end of it (I genuinely could have taken a nap!) and I loved that he was able to switch up the routine to still give me a bit of a workout without causing me pain in my back.

After yoga, it was time to head back upstairs into the cold and head back to Love Thy Neighbour to tuck into our delicious brunch. There were far too many brunch dishes that sounded incredible but I ended up going for some pancakes with yoghurt and fruit which was delicious, although I did get bad food envy when I spotted everyone else's order so I think that only calls for me to come back and try out the rest of the menu!

Then it was time to look around Sleep Eat Love! Love Thy Neighbour is actually attached to Sleep Eat Love meaning you can get your early morning coffee or a late-night dinner without having to head outside into the cold winter weather. The idea behind Sleep Eat Love is that provides affordable accommodation right in the city centre without sacrificing quality and your little luxuries. There are a choice of private rooms as well as 24hr security, secure lockers and safety deposit boxes. You also get kitchen facilities, free wifi as well as a game and lounge room and you can get rooms from as little as £25 (prices will be a little bit more during busy times like Christmas or matches).

I think Sleep Eat Love is a great addition to the city centre and is the perfect alternative to expensive hotels for little breaks. They're also particularly handy for visiting families (it's right down the road from LJMU), stag or hen do's, match days, or even if you want a cheap place to stay to visit the Christmas markets. I love that if you book a room for just one person and it's a room with more than one bed (you can book a bed in a dorm room where you will be sharing so remember that for booking), there is only ever you in the room so you are guaranteed your privacy and you can even book a room with a private or shared bathroom.

What do you think of Liverpool's first Posh'tel?

Speak to you next time!
