It's finally the weekend and I'm excited to share the lastest place I've found for some fabulous drinks smack bang in town! A few weeks back (when I actually had a weekend off) I spent the day having a girls day in town with my mum and the lovely folks at Ex Directory invited me in to check it out and try out their amazing cocktails.

Ex Directory is an underground bar just around the corner from Moorfields station. When they first opened, it was made super exclusive by only allowing you access if you had a specific password for that day and to actually be able to get into the bar, you would have to use the phonebox and give your password in order to get in. Whilst the new owners have kept that phonebox entry system, they've gotten rid of the password entry. They want to make it more open and for anyone to come and enjoy Ex Directory, not just those that managed to get the password.

We decided to spend our Sunday afternoon at Ex Directory and we seemed to pick the perfect time as I managed to take a bunch of photos without having to squid between people or it being too packed to take nice photos. As we were starting to finish up our cocktails, it began to get busier and busier so my recommendation would be to go earlier especially if there is quite a few of you going. Ex Directory is a small and exclusive vibe which I personally prefer to a larger club where you can't enjoy the time with the people you're having cocktails with because of how busy or loud it is. Inside is filled with small and large booths so there is a table for parties of every size and there's even a flower wall for getting those enviable Instagram pictures!

When we arrived the lovely team welcomed us in and kindly brought us a bottle of water for the table whilst we took a look at the cocktail menu, this is something I've noticed that nowhere else I've been have actually done is just to provide some water for the table without you having to ask, something you definitely should be having if you're drinking alcohol. I was very impressed with how open there were to making changes to the drinks or just making something you are dying for that's not on the menu. Despite it being rainy, it was fairly humid so I decided to start off with a frozen strawberry daiquiri which is a great drink as it cools you down but you can't drink it really really fast without getting a bad brain freeze so it takes you a little while to get through it. This is one of their drinks that can be completely personalised to you, frozen or not frozen with any flavour you fancy.

For those of you that remember the old Ex Directory may remember the bathtub drink and you'll be glad to hear that the team at the new Ex Directory have reinvented the bathtub sharing cocktail and made it even better. You'll be glad to hear that this one still comes in the mini bathtub but it is so delicious, so much so that it doesn't even taste like an alcoholic cocktail! Personally, I think that it's a mix between like a strawberry cream soda and strawberry laces. I loved it so much so that I'm going to be the one that I asks if they can make as a one-person cocktail next time I go in!

Are you heading to Ex Directory this weekend?

Speak to you next time!
