Mary Mary X Bumble Event

Danielle Levy, Bumble, Mary Mary, Liverpool blogger, Wirral blogger,

I can't think of a better way to spend my evening than getting to know a bunch of amazing women from Liverpool whilst making bouquets of flowers. Last week, I was kindly invited to a Bumble event with Mary Mary, I've heard of Bumble hosting events but I've never heard of one in Liverpool so I was excited to see what was in store for me at the event.

What is Bumble?
Bumble is a free app that originally started out as a dating app that was flipping the online dating game on its head but it's now expanded to be an app for dating, finding friends and networking. When the dating side of the app started it revolved around empowering women to make the first move and putting them in control, in doing so they've been able to make it a safe platform for people to connect without abuse or harassment.

Mary Mary X Bumble
The Mary Mary & Bumble event was held just outside of town in the Baltic Triangle which was fab as I actually got to walk to the event (all thanks to the on & off rain holding off long enough!) and see all the amazing artwork that is on the walls of some of the abandoned buildings around the Baltic Triangle. In typical me fashion, I ended up arriving about 15 minutes early so I had plenty of time to grab a drink and catch up on Instagram whilst I waited for everyone to arrive.

The lovely Daisy organised the event with Bumble & Mary Mary to bring us such a fun evening. The amazing women behind Mary Mary told us about their business, where we could find them and talked us through how we'd be putting our bouquets together. They explained about using the flowers in season and using wildflowers to make beautiful bouquets, they also told us what each of the flowers/plants we'd be using are and how we put together a flower arrangement.

I had such a fun evening, it was so great to be able to catch up with some amazing women, having a laugh and putting together our own bouquets (even if I didn't accidentally knock over the metal flower pots by letting go of my bouquet). It was quite different from my usual blogger event I attend and for me it was such a relaxing and cathartic event to attend and I also got to catch up with some of my friends that I'd not seen for a while. I can't wait to see what other Bumble events pop up in Liverpool and I need to head to Mary Mary next time I'm in town by the Bluecoat to pick up some more flowers.

Have you been to a Bumble event before?

Speak to you next time!
*I was invited to the Bumble event. All opinions are honest and my own.
