Shut Up & Bowl | Lane 7 Liverpool

Whilst there are new things opening up in Liverpool all the time, it's not often when something so unique opens it's doors here. While I might class myself as a Liverpool blogger, I actually live on the other side of the water on the Wirral and remember growing up we used to go out as a family to New Brighton for a day of bowling, chips and walking along the waterfront so I was really excited to hear that a new place for bowling and cocktails was opening right in the centre of town!

A couple of weeks back, I was invited to the launch night of the new Lane 7 by Clayton Square and of course I had to bring along a couple of my favourite people from work. Lane 7 is slowly making it's way around the country and the latest launch in Liverpool this month was the perfect addition to the city! They've got everything from bowling, pool, air hockey, beer pong, arcade games and even a photo booth.

A glow in the dark wonderland, you are met with the bar and small seating area so you can grab one of their cocktails or the amazing alcoholic slushies (which you will thank me once you've tried them!) whilst you wait for your lane to become available. With bowling balls that light up, glow in the dark lanes and cocktails delivered straight to your lane, you are guaranteed to have a fun evening with your friends.

I spent the launch night with my lovely friend Jules and her husband, where I found out that I'm actually fairly good at bowling without the rails up! We had such a fun evening getting competitive over who would win first place and teaming up to play pool, it is worth bearing in mind that myself and Jules didn't have a clue how the scoring for bowling went to begin with so I think we did pretty good.

I love it when places have unique cocktails and not just standard house drinks (I tend to drink cocktails when I'm out cause I am so uncreative with making them at home!), we ended up trying the Parma Violet cocktail, Oreo alcoholic milkshake and the strawberry daiquiri alcoholic slushie. My favourite was most definitely the slushies, although they do not taste like they have any alcohol in them so you definitely have to be careful with them but the Parma Violet cocktail was really good and tasted exactly like the sweets!

Lane 7 officially opened on the 6th June and I can't wait to head back with friends or family, it's an equally great time for either! You can head there Monday-Thursday 4pm-Late and all weekend 11am-Late. When I first heard about Lane 7, I originally thought it was an adult-only venue but under 18's can actually visit as well until 7pm but they must be accompanied, so you can even have a fun afternoon out as a family.

Are you heading to Lane 7 this weekend?

Speak to you next time!
