The Lifestyle Box Co

Danielle Levy, The Lifestyle Box Co, Liverpool blogger, Wirral blogger, lifestyle subscription boxes,

O
ver the past year, I've featured beauty subscription boxes in my Battle of The Beauty Boxes series and whilst I might have gotten to know a couple of great lifestyle brands, I've mostly been introduced to some new beauty brands but after watching American Youtubers for years, I've felt like we're really missing a lifestyle subscription box in the UK. Thankfully the Lifestyle Box Co is filling that gap in the UK!

What Is The Lifestyle Box Co?
The Lifestyle Box Co is a company created by the lovely Melanie and Marie, they create lifestyle subscription boxes filled with products crafted by amazing independent businesses. Each month, they strive to fill their boxes with a mixture of beauty products, candles, trinkets, stationery, skincare, accessories and even sweet treats for you to enjoy.

Each box contains 4 unique full-sized products that are completely different from what was included in the last month (which personally I love because it mixes it up every month and stops things getting very repetitive). Not only can you purchase the subscription boxes via their website, you can also buy unique gift boxes, soy candles and you can even buy their very own lifestyle planner. Every month, they strive to find amazing new products that are perfect for some self-care time, they also aim to have each box to have a value between £33-80. All boxes are on a rolling contract meaning you aren't locked into buying it for X amount of months before you can cancel the subscription, although you can buy a 3 or 6 month prepay plan which gives you a 10% discount compared to buying it month to month.

The boxes cost £22 plus £3.50 for postage which works out to roughly £6 per item. I love that when you go to their subscribe page on their website, you can actually see their previous boxes and the different items that have been included in each box.

March Box
I was kindly gifted the March box to try out (unfortunately due to my cat passing away, there was a little bit of a delay in trying it out) so I'm finally getting around to reviewing it, but this months box is the Girls Day Out box. The idea behind this months box is that it includes products that are perfect for a day out with your friends as well as a little at home treat for when your feet are crying after a long day of shopping.

All the products in the March box come wrapped up in pink tissue paper and it all came in one piece, it's always a worry of mine that something in my subscription boxes could arrive to me broken. This month's box contains completely brand new brands that I'd never heard of before which is amazing as being a blogger it's quite rare that I'm introduced to new brands.

First up is the Champagne bath bomb from That Charming Shop. The bath bomb is supposed to be pure and natural and the perfect addition for anyone that loves baths. It contains Jojoba oil, Epsom salts and white clay to help moisturise, soothes muscle aches and smoothes the skin. It's got a really refreshing, fruity scent which has a really strong scent, the second I opened the box that was all I could smell (bear in mind these come vacuum packed in plastic which also helps to ensure they arrive in one piece). These retail at £5 for one or a gift box of 5 for £28.

Of course, no girls day outfit is complete without some accessories. This month's box includes two, a ring and a scarf. The ring is a one size fits all style with a lovely little duo of charms, a silver heart with a light pink gem style ball. I couldn't find much in the way of information about the ring that's included, only the name on the card which unfortunately googling it didn't really bring too many results but it's by the brand Anney Rose. One part of my wardrobe that I've always very much loved (although I haven't worn too many of late) is my scarves, thankfully this month's box has the Kismet scarf in from Hazel & Pip a brand I've never heard of before but who specialise in selling scarves and bags. This lovely lightweight scarf has a vined leaf design in a grey and white colour, perfect to go with any outfit for Spring.

Lastly tied up in a little pink bow (yes literally!) is a natural lip polish in Pink Velvet from Zaza & Cruz. This sugar lip scrub has a really yummy vanilla and red velvet scent and is a soft pink colour, it's also made with all natural ingredients, no petroleum or artificial colours. I constantly have dry lips thanks to working in a dry air environment so lip scrubs are a vital part of my everyday routine otherwise I can only imagine my lips would be horrifically chapped, I can't wait to rotate this one in to my routine.

What do you prefer, beauty or lifestyle boxes?

*I was sent the box for review. All opinions are honest and my own.
