Hosting An Event With Armani

I can't believe that I am actually writing this post and that this actually happened to me! I've loved Armani Beauty for almost 2 years now after being introduced to them by the lovely Kate at the Chester counter, it has definitely become one of my all-time favourite brands that I am always buying from and recommending to people. I was over the moon (and had to slap myself back into reality) when we started discussing me hosting an event at the Manchester Selfridges counter!

Although I've pretty much talked everyone and their mother's eye off about Armani and their different products, we decided to focus the event around an introduction to Armani Beauty and fragrance as well as including some of the new makeup launches. Once we'd decided on a date and time, it was time to figure out how many tickets we wanted to offer. I knew that I wanted it to be more on the intimate side so that we could really have a chat going and everyone could get individual recommendations without having to wait too long.

Unfortunately, on the day the world decided to work against me and despite me planning to get to the counter an hour before we started, that didn't happen. Among having a rotten tasting coffee from Costa Coffee, once I arrived at Lime Street to catch my connecting train to Manchester that was when they decided to cancel it which resulted in a last minute panic and me eventually managing to get the long-ass train to Oxford Road instead of the quick 30 minute train so instead of me arriving nice and early, I arrived just before everyone arrived (thankfully!).

Kate had kindly put on both some bubbly and non-alcoholic bubbles (Armani are one of the few places that doesn't offer water or orange juice as a non-alcoholic option at events!) as well as some yummy nibbles for everyone to enjoy whilst we chatted about the history of Armani. For the event, the amazing Zoe created a beautiful makeup look with glowing skin, a soft sparkly eye look and a deep berry lip.

For me, the most exciting launches are the new shades in the Power Fabric foundation, the Power Fabric foundation compacts as well as the Power Fabric concealers. Instead of using a normal contour product and because I am the palest of pale, Zoe showed us how you can use a darker concealer to contour (it helped me carve some cheekbones out of my moon face). Similar to the foundation, the new concealer in the range is a long-lasting, full coverage formula which is lightweight and has that second-skin feel (no caking here!). I love the applicator on this concealer, the doe foot is angled at the tip to allow you to get right in there to the corner of your eye but you can also get a sharp line if you want to contour with a darker shade.

Zoe has done my makeup the past couple of times I've been at the counter and she is truly amazing and talented. Last time she gave me a gorgeous smokey navy look and this time she went for a stunning rose gold sparkly eye with the Eyes to Kill Stellar eyeshadow in Stellar, these eyeshadows have a bouncy texture and you can use a brush or your fingers to apply it. Another really interesting tip that Zoe gave us was using the supersoft lipliners as a matching eyeliner and lipliner to compliment the look.

I had such an amazing time hosting an event for Armani Selfridges, Armani is definitely my go-to brand that I rave about and being able to host an event with them is one of my blog goals made so a big thanks to Kate, Zoe and all the lovely folks at Armani Selfridges Manchester. The lovely folks at Owen Drew also kindly got involved and gifted some goodies for everyone that attended which is super generous of them!

Should I host more events?

Speak to you next time!
