Is anyone else in total shock that it's nearly the end of January 2019?! I feel like it was just Christmas! I'm kicking off the New Year with my first beauty box unboxing from the lovely Roccabox.

After us all having way too many drinks and sweet treats over the festive period, for their January 2019 box, Roccabox has focused it on being fresh, glowing and to help you get on track for the new year! This month they've got for a range of beauty, skincare, fitness and health-related products to help us kick start our new year!

Touch In Sol No Problem Primer
This priming water is something that is big in South Korea and is supposed to be the primer to beat all primers but we shall see! In this month's box, we got an 8ml sample size of the primer to test out, I'm not going to lie it's so weird putting a priming water on your face as you expect it to be thick like a normal primer when you dispense it out of the tube.

It has a unique powder inside that helps to control sebum and creates a smooth canvas for your makeup. Once you've gotten over the fact that it's not a thicker primer and applied it (a little goes a long way!), it absorbs super quickly into your skin and leaves it really soft and smells nice and fresh when applied. I'm excited to trial this priming water in my makeup routine and see if it truly does protect my skin and help my makeup go on smoothly and last all day.

Beauty and the Bear Gummy Vitamins
I've started putting more focus into taking care of my hair and ensuring that even with all the highlighting I do to my hair, I want to be able to keep it in the best condition possible. Since November, I've been taking Biotin and Zinc supplements after hearing about how much they can positively affect the condition of your hair but I hated having to take multiple supplements on top of my medications.

Thankfully this month's box includes a 5-day sample of the Beauty and the Bear Hair, Skin & Nail Gummy Vitamins. They help to give you stronger and fuller hair, increased nail strength and natural collagen production for a healthier looking complexion. Instead of taking a bunch of supplements, I only have to take two yummy bear shaped gummies, much better than the awful vitamin taste!

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream
Balance Me is a brand that I've had before in beauty boxes and I've tried a couple of pieces from them. This month's box includes their Wonder eye cream that is supposed to be a triple action eye cream that helps to brighten dark circles, reduce puffiness and fine lines and wrinkles as well as hydrating your eye area.

SportFX
SportFX is a new brand that I actually spotted in Sports Direct just before Christmas and I remember thinking that I needed to get my hands on them to put them to test and see if they truly worked. In this month's box, we got sent two of their eye products, the Definition Duo eyeliner and Stamina mascara. Their makeup is made to work as hard as you do on a daily basis whilst being good for your skin, their formulas are paraben-free packed with vitamins and it contains an spf.

The eyeliner is a duo black and brown pencil that allows you to achieve a smokey look, it also apparently is a self-sharpening pencil which I'm really intrigued by. It also dries down to be smudge-proof and long-wearing within 2 minutes of it being applied. I love that the eyeliner has a micro-tip as I am awful at eyeliner and have hooded eyes so I have to do my eyeliner super thin otherwise it looks like I'm just wearing eyeliner and nothing else, I'm actually really excited to try a wear test on this eyeliner to see if it can stand up to the hooded eyes test. I've never tried out a mascara that is specifically made to withstand working out as I tend to just use my normal waterproof mascara as I have fairly straight lashes that need a waterproof formula to stay curled all day. It's supposed to be waterproof, smudge-proof and have a 24-hour staying power with no fall out. The one downside I had with this was the smell as soon as I opened it, it had an almost waxy smell to it.

Temple Spa Peace Be Still Skin Balm
Roccabox also spoilt us this month and treated us to an extra surprise product. We got a travel size (worth £6.50) of their Peace Be Still calming skin balm which is their wonder product that can be used to moisturise your hands, face and body, it can help to settle sensitive and irritated skin and it can even help to soothe your skin after you've been out in the sun for too long.

A little goes a long way with this balm and it absorbs instantly into your skin with no sticky residue (I love it for work and this travel size will be coming with me to work!). It is designed to be aromatherapy and skincare in one so they've included loads of essential oils to keep you relaxed whilst keeping your skin soft.
