Taco Bell Hits Liverpool

Liverpool seems to be blowing up with great new restaurants and bars, particularly the Bold Street end of Liverpool which seems to be getting so many amazing new places to eat you'll be spoilt for choice. Taco Bell is the latest restaurant to hit Liverpool and I for one was super excited about the launch!

If you've been living under a rock, you won't have noticed the new Taco Bell that has opened a stone's throw from the huge Primark in town, making it the perfect spot for lunch during a shopping day. Whilst I may eat like a 5-year-old, I do have quite a taste for all things spicy and cheese and for me Taco Bell is ticking all the boxes for a great place to eat in town.

Back when I first got into Youtube in high school, I remember being so envious of everything American Youtubers had, of all the great shops and food places they had. I have happily noticed over the past couple of years that we're getting a lot more of this American culture in the UK, particularly Liverpool!

Taco Bell is based at the bottom of Bold Street and spread over two floors, meaning it's in the perfect spot for a post-shopping lunch and it's also perfect for a post-cocktails treat (you haven't been out in Liverpool until you've got the post-drinking fast food treat!). Whilst they might have filled the Mexican-inspired space in the Liverpool food market, they've incorporated Liverpool into the design of the restaurant with the amazing bespoke Liverpool graffiti wall by Paul Curtis (and yes the Liverbird wings are included in the design!). Not only have they included plenty of seating, so there's definitely a seat to rest your tired legs, Taco Bell have thought of everything and included charging points throughout their restaurant, such an important thing in today's social media world!

The menu has something for everyone with tacos and burritos to nachos and Mexican fries, they even have a melted cheese dipping sauce. If that doesn't win you over, I don't know what will! My favourite is definitely the chicken and cheese quesadilla with the cheese dipping sauce. Something that everyone commented on launch night was how cheap the menu was. While they do have meals that you can get, you can pretty much pick and mix your own meal because the prices are so low! All of their tacos are less than £2 each and all of their sides and desserts are less than £2 each as well.

Taco Bell has definitely become a firm favourite in mine and Sam's lunch list (we may have already visited since it opened). It was so lovely to head along to the launch event and get to test out everything on the menu. Whilst they had beers and cocktails to celebrate launching, they kindly made me a virgin strawberry daiquiri as I wasn't very well and they were delicious so I can only imagine how good the alcoholic versions were.

Is Taco Bell on your list of places to try yet?

Speak to you next time!
