Skincare Masterclasses With The Body Shop

I've been addicted to The Body Shop products since 2015, I think it's fair to say that it's one of my all-time favourite brands. Since becoming a blogger, I've been invited to several of their blogger events and last week the lovely Sam invited me along as her plus one to their latest skincare masterclass event.

After a mad dash to get ready and get over to Liverpool (we only found out we had tickets in the late afternoon), I met Sam and headed towards L1. We had just enough time to head in, grab a glass of bubbly and start having a mooch at the new products before the skincare masterclass started.

On the evening, the lovely girls and guys from The Body Shop had arranged personalised facials and makeovers for everyone as well as a demo of the Drops of Youth facial. They've recently released some new products in their Drops of Youth range including a foaming face wash, eye cream/eye mask and essence lotion so I was really excited to see the new additions and have a play with them (I may or may not have picked up a couple of bits to test out at home). It was really interesting to see the multi-uses of their body eye cream/eye mask and how you can leave a thicker layer on overnight as an intensive eye mask.

Whilst I had not long done my makeup before I left and it was my first time testing out the new YSL all hours foundation I didn't want to take all my makeup off to have a facial (I know, first world blogger problems). So instead I watched Sam have a Roots of Strength (their newest addition to their skincare ranges), this new skincare release is targeted at men and women with mature skin but I think it's never too early to start using anti-ageing products and products for fine lines and firmness. Even though I'm only 25, I love that this range helps to plump, firm and moisturise your skin without leaving you looking like a grease ball.

I ended up picking up the Drops of Youth foaming face wash to use as my evening cleanser, one of the new Spa of the World shower gels and a Fuji green tea hair scrub as I love the Lush salt scrub and I'm hoping The Body Shop one has a similar effect. I can't wait to get testing these out and reviewing them on here for all you lovelies!

What's your favourite Body Shop product right now?

Speak to you next time!

  1. I haven't been to The Body Shop or tried any of their products in the longest time. I used to love using their body butters and camomile makeup remover. I think I might need to check out the Drops of Youth line though - I think you're right - it's never too early to start thinking about anti-aging products! Does the range have much of a scent?
