My December Highlights

This year I wanted to spend more time reflecting on some of the amazing things that have happened to me, in life and my blog. Whilst some great things happened in 2017, there were also some major points of sadness that happened in my personal life so this year for my own mental health I want to start looking for the positivity in every day. I know technically December was 2017 and not 2018, but so many amazing things happened in December and I couldn't think of a better way to start a year of highlights!

Blogging Every Day
My major highlight was actually completing blogging every day until Christmas! I tried to complete blogmas in 2016 and epically failed, I think I actually only managed to write and schedule half of my posts, but this year I actually wrote, photographed and uploaded all 25 blog posts! I'm also super proud that blogging every day in December actually increased my blog's DA by 5 points which is incredible. I'm already starting to plan out my Christmas blogmas ideas for 2018 and I hope to do another 2 months of blogging every day during this year.

As always CarnLIVal is incredible, this year's Christmas CarnLIVal was more like a group of friends meeting for Christmas dinner than a Christmas blogger event. I loved that when I went I knew about 90% of the girls attending and we had drinks, games, secret santa and a raffle.

Hair Transformation
After months of trying to salvage my damaged hair from a bad dye job at a previous salon, the lovely Ronnie and Adam transformed my hair and kept it in such great condition. I loved spending the day (yes getting my hair done takes a day!) with them and I left the salon feeling pampered and actually loving my appearance for once. I cannot wait to go back for my next treatment and I'm actually thinking of trying out the Nioxin scalp treatment soon.

Sponsored Posts
December brought the offers of two sponsored posts which I'm so incredibly proud of! I started taking steps in 2017 to make my blog into a part-time job for myself as I put so much time and effort into my blog that I wanted to make it a possibility of someday making it into a job for myself. At the end of December, I got the opportunity of two sponsored posts for January which thankfully fits with my blog and helps me work towards my goal of making my blog my job as well.

What are some of your highlights?

Speak to you next time!

  1. You had a fabulous blogging year! I didn't end the year on as big a blogging high but I'm still here, I'm still blogging and I'm still enjoying it so that's a win from me!
