My Favourite Christmas Movies | Blogmas

christmas movies, love actually, elf, home alone, christmas with the kranks, miracle on 34th street

December is my all-time favourite time of the year for watching moves. There really is nothing better than putting on your favourite movie, wrapped up in a blanket with the fire on and a hot chocolate to hand! I thought I would share my all-time favourite Christmas movies with you all for today's blogmas.

Home Alone 2 Lost In New York is by far one of my favourites, it also makes me feel truly festive when I watch this. It's one of the most iconic Christmas movies, I don't know anyone that doesn't like watching Home Alone at Christmas. I must say I much prefer the second one to the first. I mean ice skating at Central Park, the huge Christmas tree at the Rockefeller centre. It's always been a dream of mine to spend time in New York around Christmas with all the decorations and festivities, some day I will actually go but until then I will be watching this on repeat!

Love Actually is one that I secretly watch all year round cause while it's Christmasy, it is an all-round amazing film. It's got romance and comedy, what's not to love?! Normally in Christmas films I only recognise maybe one or two actors, this one is packed to the rafters with amazing actors. It's also shot in the UK, unlike many Christmas movies, making it an instant win!

ELF is a Christmas movie that I've watched several times without fail since high school and I still love it. It never fails to reignite my love of Christmas and my inner child. It is also set in New York, somewhere that I am dying to visit. It features Christmas songs, New York and a total belief in Christmas. It's one that is a definite must-see movie to have on your list.

Christmas With The Kranks is a Christmas film that I only got into in recent years but this one has got Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis and a whole host of amazing actors. It's such a great Christmas comedy and never fails to have me in fits of laughter and in all honesty I watch this most of the year round cause it's that funny! Even though it's one of the funniest Christmas films, it really warms you heart by showing how communities can come together in times of need.

Miracle On 34th Street couldn't not be included in this blog post, it's an iconic Christmas movie that I believe everyone should watch at least once in their life. It's got Richard Attenborough, Elizabeth Perkins, Dylan McDermott and Mara Wilson, all of whom help to make a truly incredible Christmas movie. It's not really been Christmas until you've watched this, I especially like watching it on Christmas Eve although I'll be doing my Christmas Eve traditions on the 23rd this year as I'm on a night shift on the 24th.

What's your favourite Christmas movie?

Speak to you next time!
