McDonald X Julien MacDonald

It's not everyday that a massive UK fashion house collaborates with a major food retailer, so when the email landed in my inbox about the new McDonald X Julien MacDonald collaboration, I just had to be there!

Last week, the lovely people at Mcdonald's invited me to the launch of their collaboration with Julien MacDonald for their Signature collection of burgers. Whilst myself, Jessi and Sam were all there, they had also invited a bunch of competition winners and valued customers to come in and try out the new burgers and see the limited edition boxes. The hand designed, bejewelled box designed by Julien MacDonald is going to be auctioned off soon with all the proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald charity at Alderhey hospital.

This year, they have paired up Julien MacDonald to design a 1,000 luxury burger boxes for the Signature collection. The collection of 3 premium burgers that was specially designed by the Chef's Council has something for everyone, whether you prefer something spicier, something with a more tangy side or maybe you prefer being classic. These burgers have got the thickest beef patty of all McDonald's burgers, full to the brim of British and Irish beef.

I got to try out the Classic Signature burger on the night which comes with bacon, cheese, mustard mayo, lettuce and red onion, all on a brioche bun. Whilst I may have taken out the mustard mayo (mainly because I hate both of them), the burger was delicious even without it. You can really taste the difference in the premium Signature collection, I love the addition of the brioche bun, seriously this needs to be the addition to more burgers!

I had a great night seeing the hand designed box from Julien MacDonald, all the burgers were delicious and it was amazing to attend an event raising money for an amazing charity!

Are you getting one of the limited edition boxes?

Speak to you next time!
