Behind The Brand Liverpool Bloggers

Behind The Brand, Steph Liverpool Bloggers

Way back in October, I started a series on my blog called Behind The.... featuring Jennifer Hamley and embarrassingly I completely forgot about the series. I mean, I love writing these posts, thinking of questions and deciding what brands, bloggers and vloggers that I want to get involved. But, I think the reason I keep forgetting about it is because I can't just sit down and write the post, it requires myself to do a bit more planning. This week, I'm back with another Behind The Brand featuring the super nice Steph from Liverpool Bloggers.

Behind The Brand, Liverpool Bloggers

Let me introduce you to Steph, she is the mastermind behind Liverpool Bloggers. Originally a blogger/vlogger from Liverpool, she actually created her own blogger network in summer 2015 which now helps to bring Liverpool bloggers and brands together, as well as hosting some killer blogger events!

Introduce yourself
HI! I'm Steph and I'm the girl behind liverpoolbloggers.com. I love to get organised and help bloggers network with brands. Liverpool has amazingly talented bloggers who need to be noticed! I also work as a Marketing Executive for my full time job which I juggle with Liverpool Bloggers.

Tell us about LivBloggers & how you created it
#LIVbloggers is a hub for Liverpool Bloggers to utilise. It connects Liverpool Bloggers with brands, offers support, provides opportunities, aims to host more networking events and pass on advice about blogger marketing. It's a busy place! It's a positive place - positive vibes only!

How long had you been blogging before you created LivBloggers?
I blogged for a few months on a personal platform, but realised that Liverpool has nothing to connect bloggers together. I thought it was just me - how wrong I was! I created Liverpool Bloggers from this; a hub for bloggers from the city to connect. Soon, bloggers from all over Liverpool were connecting and growing passionate about blogging.

What are your goals for 2017 for LivBloggers?
1. Hosting regular but exciting networking events for Liverpool Bloggers.
2. Growing the Liverpool Blogger network email list to provide more opportunities for brands to connect with bloggers. Build my contacts list to provide more opportunities for Liverpool bloggers.
3. Posting regular video blogs based on blogger marketing and Liverpool based blogging to grow the YouTube channel community. Also, get bloggers involved with the YouTube channel.

There are more, I'm sure but at this moment those are the main 3. I have a million and one thoughts a day. But it's getting round to doing them all!

What is your biggest tip for someone wanting to start their own blog?
My biggest tip would be to scan the sites of bloggers who you like and enjoy their content. Don't copy - but make notes of what they do. Compare this to other bloggers you like. See what you like, what you don't like - and move forward with your own. Make sure your blog is clear, links are accessible and mobile friendly. Get networking - online and offline, and take advice from bloggers. Also, find something you are truly interested in. You have to be passionate about blogging, and go into it for the right reasons.

What is in store for LivBloggers for the rest of 2017, have you got any exciting
things coming up?
I've got so many plans! The thing I think will be coming in 2017 are regular networking events that get Liverpool bloggers together. I think people love to actually meet each other, and it provides perfect content for blogs. I'm working on getting feedback about what people would like from a networking event, so once this is done - hopefully I can get the ball rolling.

Who are your favourite bloggers and why?
My favourite bloggers are those who have fantastic photography, a crisp blog, quality words and a professional yet fun attitude. It works so well when you get on with a blogger to then work with them. My personal favourite blogger outside of Liverpool is Sarah Ashcroft. When I started blogging, she inspired me. Her motivation and business blogger mind excites me. In Liverpool, I would say my biggest inspiration are the guys at Independent Liverpool. They started as a blog and now look at them!

Who would you like to see in the next post on Behind The....?

Speak to you next time!
